NEVER AGAIN. Obviously after 60+ years in business, the operation of this place is coming to the end. They don't care customers anymore. They do whatever they want to do and they charge whatever they want. They will threaten you if you complain about overcharge. In short, this place is so outdated that there's no way they can compete with Best Buy, Lowe's, Sears, etc. etc. that offer free delivery and low cost installation and maintenance. Stay away from Tiso.

"Our small family appliance store has been in business for 60 years and still going strong because of our competitive prices and customer service. You called and ordered a microwave over the phone for your tenant without having to leave any type of payment. We contacted your tenant and buildings super to arrange the delivery and installation so it would not be a burden to you. No one at Tiso Appliances at any time ever "threatened ' you. All we did was call you for payment 3 WEEKS after the microwave was installed! I'm sorry that you feel that you were "overcharged" but we have set installation prices that we abide by. Thank you for your past business and encourage you to call another appliance store in the future hopefully you will receive the same customer service we provide."

Fantastic service. Tiso's appliance guys were great getting out to me within minutes of my call. They were able to replace the part in my dryer and then recommended having the dryer vent cleared out before I turn it on again because they assessed it's what caused the problem. They recommended someone who came out and took care of it. They also separately sold me a new dishwasher after my 20 year old dishwasher broke. On every occasion I've used them, they have been wonderful, courteous, honest, fair and very responsive.

Repair person pointed out paperwork that said food doesn't cook like old stoves, and pointed to a You Tube video that demonstrated the dangerous burn factor of the stovetop. IOW, he did NOTHING, and left. We still have the dangerous stove, and will soon be replacing it, thanks to the DANGEROUS overheated stovetop which can burn anyone who touches it. TISO appliances, which sold the GE stove, wanted nothing to do with the problem, and GE couldn't care less. DO NOT BUY A GE GAS STOVE AND DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM TISO IN PELHAM.

They were great! They came the next business day after I called them (it wasn't an emergency). The repairman was very prompt, polite and professional. He worked quickly, and clearly explained what he did and why. I had never used their repair service before; I was delighted with the service & will now consider them my first-choice appliance repair company. And I will also make them my first choice next time I'm buying an appliance.

My dryer was spinning but not drying. I had two very wet, large loads of clothes and I couldn't dry my clothes! I had purchased a range from Tiso in the past, and they were great with the installation of my range. So, I called Tiso at 11 a.m., and Tiso said someone would be by before 3 p.m. But at noon, I received a call that someone was already on his way. Great! I didn't have to lug two heavy, wet, large loads of clothes to a laundromat. In fifteen minutes, my 20 year old dryer was fixed. Thumbs up! When the day comes in which I need to buy a new dryer, I will Tiso. Any other appliance repairs, Tiso!

We ordered an electric range from Tiso. They were friendly and helpful, met a competitor's price. So far so good. The delivery was prompt, the installation not great because they were going to leave the slide-in range improperly adjusted as far as leveling it to meet the counter. When they tested the oven to heat to 350 degrees, the bake element, which is the coil on the bottom of the oven, did not uniformly glow red hot....only the right half glowed; the left half remained black. Anyone who cooks with an electric oven would know that the coil was not functioning properly. The installers insisted that as long as the oven was "going up to temperature" it was ok. We called in to the store and was told that newer electric ranges could operate that way, that it might be an energy-saving feature. Ludicrous! I wish I had refused the range but I didn't. The installer called a repairman who "verified" that this is how newer electric ranges work. I called manufacturers techs and was told that the bake element should uniformly glow red. Tiso adamantly maintained that manufacturer |'s techs they spoke to said it was functioning properly being half-lit,that they've been in business long enough to know what they are talking about, if we have bake element replaced that it will function the same way, etc. etc. The following day manufacturer's techs were sent to the the house and confirmed that coil was malfunctioning and should be uniformly lit. Of course the new bake element which was installed under warranty is UNIFORMLY GLOWING RED, left half as well as right half. We are so disappointed with the way Tiso handled the situation, trying to convince us that a malfunctioning oven was functioning properly...in effect lying to us. Sad but true. I would not recommend them at all.

I gave the whirlpool tech your model # and after 20 minutes of research with him speaking too his engineer dept. I was told this is the way your oven was designed. I am very sorry you feel this way about Tiso's ,but contrary too what you might think we are not liars.The oven in your stove was getting up too the right temperature.Whirlpool engineers assured me it was fine. thank you for reading my response. When our 7 year old refrigerator stopped working properly, we decided to purchase a new one. We went to Tiso. For energy conservation and design, we decided against an exterior ice maker/water dispenser. It turns out such refrigerators are difficult to find. Peter found a suitable model but it wouldn't be available until the next week, so he lent us a refrigerator until the new one arrived. There were several home visits regarding the loaner and and then regarding a faulty ice machine once the new unit arrived. For each visit, there was a general visit time set and then a "day of" call to confirm the visit and often another "they are on their way" call. Tiso replaced the faulty ice maker after confirming that it was not functioning properly. With all of this back and forth, there was plenty of room for error or miscommunication, but everything went smoothly.

They have very competitive pricing. They usually will match their much larger competitors on price. They are local so they remove whatever appliance that is being replaced for no charge. They have been in the area for over 30 years. They are known not just in Pelham, but in other areas. They are family owned. They are very amiable.

The dryer was very old, a lost cause. Since I paid the service call and went on to buy with them they substantially discounted the subsequent purchase and delivery of a new machine. Their ordering and delivery are very fast and their installation people excellent.

The workers arrived on time, and got right to work. At first it appeared that the new refrigerator was too big for the space, and the worker got on the phone to see if another model could be ordered. This was a difficult retrofit, and it required some disassembly of existing cabinetry to get the refrigerator in. They got it installed and left the place neat and clean.

Tiso didn t' try and sell us on going to them to buy a refrigerator, so I felt like they were real honest with us. They know what they are talking about and they have integrity. They are a local place and I like supporting places like them to be honest. I wound up going to them with my general contractor and buying all new appliances for my new kitchen since I liked them so much.
