Affordable Carting

Horrible. I wouldn't use this carting company if it was the last place to dump my trash on earth. The owner was rude and disrespectful when an issue arose. Affordable Cart didn't do the right thing when damage occurred to my property. Costing me $3000.00 to fix.

We had a very negative experience with Affordable Enterprises. I called them and they quoted a really great price. That was about a month ago. They added $50 for the City Permit to put the Dumpster on the block. They sent us a contract to sign. On the contract my husband missed that there was a weight limitation. He is not a builder so he could not assess what the weight of the construction materials to be taken out of the house would be. They never bothered to explain that to him. They never mentioned that. It was only in that contract, so he signed that. They delivered and they put it in our driveway as opposed to putting it on the road for which they had the Permit Fee. They didn't ask our consent to do that. They refused to take it away, and they put it in such a way that they damaged some stonework in the driveway. We had so much building material thrown out because we had a house full of plaster so that we required another dumpster. We again called them because we thought it might save us some money because it was still in our street. It didn't. The following day they brought another dumpster and they again put it in the driveway. And only then, when they charged us additional weight, which was approximately the same amount that they charged us for the dumpster that we realized how much overall it ended up to be. In addition, they also charged some kind of strange amount to our credit card and when we tried to find out what that amount was, about $380, they said it was clearly shown that we were charged by them on the credit card. Then when we contacted them, they denied they had charged us the $380. In addition to that weight. I think we called the company and that was the easy part. The hard part was when my husband called them to have them agree to reduce the overall amount that we paid and also tried to explain to them that they also damaged the driveway and stone wall, and at that point I think, the owner of the company told my husband "This is because of people like yourself, immigrants who come to America, America is being destroyed." That's our experience with this company. It is terrible. It was for a 30 cubic yards, 3 tonnes weight Dumpster. Our contractors didn't even exceed the height. Extra charge for weight was $488 for the first Dumpster and something like $250 for the second Dumpster. In a situation like ours where our house was totally flooded, and my husband didn't have the experience, didn't realize to ask these questions, they should have been forthcoming about that.
