The work was not done to specification. What was done was shoddy. The wrong types of materials were installed. He had unqualified laborers doing the work. He was never on-site to supervise. Ultimately, the entire job had to be ripped out. Every single piece had to be replaced by a new contractor. He agreed to refund $4,000 and promised multiple dates to give the refund, but never returned the money.
