George Apap Painting
About us
Almost 80 years ago, Charles Apap came to this country from Malta. His first job was that of a painter's apprentice. Three generations later, the Apap family is still passionate about painting homes. The key to our success is simple: we give the customers what they want. Our painting business has prospered as a result of our ability to deliver superior service, extra attention to detail and a dedicated staff. Our employees undergo monthly in house training in safety, customer service, faux finishing techniques, and are kept up to date on the latest painting trade innovations and materials.

George APAP is incredibly professional. If you are a busy person, do not bother getting quotes from three outfits: save yourself time and energy and call George APAP. This company has been in business for more than 80 years and it is immediately apparent why from the first contact with the company: the client comes first. George APAP is an extremely organized approach, almost a methodology. There are standard processes that the employees in the company clearly follow from the top to the bottom, from the office to the field. These home improvement professionals mean business:
-Exceptionally prompt and respectful of my time (e.g., apprises of ETA by text, keeps owner informed when not on premises, arranges the following day's activities in early afternoon the day before and discusses with owner--imagine that: discussing timing with the owner?!@#$?!)
-Exceptionally professional, technically speaking (meaning that G. APAP team members not just prompt, neat, and all the soft skills that say "professional" but also technically masterful at painting...I have a wonderful 1960s Eberhard built home, and the paint job is very visible bc of the huge amount of light in the house downstairs...exceptionally well done - clearly experienced painters with refined technique)
-Exceptionally knowledgeable about George APAP company (e.g., shared the history, shared the multi-generational knowledge that the owner has, shared the other services that the company provides - key for the type of person that would use George APAP...a busy person who needs to rely on a contractor)
-Exceptionally well-organized and client-oriented team structure (the idea that there is a crew leader, the crew leader introduces himself as such, the crew leader actually leads, and the team actually wants to be led, the team is incredibly efficient, is truly a team which you can see from how they interact and have each others' backs...it is nirvana in contractorland!)
We were guided every step of the way by one or more of the professionals in the company. Every member of the team clearly knew his/ her trade. The staff responded in a friendly and helpful manner to questions that we had and spent several hours working with us on just the right color choices. They always worked around our priorities for the day and were very flexible to changes we made along the way. Co-operation was clearly a priority.
The painters always arrived on time and stayed well into the day to make sure they remained on the projected time line for the project. They worked diligently and concentrated on their goals for that day. When they left, the house was as clean as it was before they began.
My wife and I especially liked, that the people working for George Apap were employees of the company and not subcontracted which made them more appealing to rehire for additional work. A supervisor followed up during the day, to make sure that the job was getting done to our satisfaction. We always felt at ease and comfortable inviting them into our home even when we would leave to complete outside errands.
The company has a carpentry staff as well, and we needed their help to change-out doors and doorways as well as make general repairs. The finished product was perfect.
My wife and I have a glowing recommendation for the George Apap Painting Company, and the work that they do. We honesty have nothing negative to remark. How many contractors can you say that about!
We had originally obtained 3 separate estimates before we chose Apap. While they were not the lowest in price, we had heard very positive remarks from people in the community they service. Value is a better choice than price alone.
Quality, Value, Craftsmanship, Honesty & Integrity is what The George Apap Painting Company is about.
We are completely satisfied with every aspect of the painting project that the George Apap companyI received 3 estimates before starting this massive project. Apap won the work because they gave a written estimate of the
job in a four page contract. They described all the steps including our responsibility ( removing furniture, closing windows)
Then their prep work, (sanding, replacing trim, fascia boards, wood repair, power washing) It had been over 20 years since the last paint job so they had to apply primer and 2 coats of exterior paint.. They worked quickly and finished the job 2 days ahead of schedule. They painted 2 exterior doors and a porch fence which I wasn't expecting. The house looks great and I'm sure the neighbors are thrilled because the house looks so much better.
