They came quickly but were not able to fix the issue. The first plumber called for backup and the second plumber was also not able to fix the problem. He recommended cutting the wall open and having to redo the entire plumbing system. Second plumber that came was very apologetic and nice but couldn’t do the job. At 7pm received a call from the company who told me they would send a third person out to try, by 9pm he still hadn’t shown up so I called to reschedule until the morning. The man told me that they would call me in the morning with a time. I didn’t hear back until 1pm and he said the guy he wanted to send was off for 2 days so would have to schedule for Tuesday. I ended up calling someone else who was able to do the job without having to cut into my wall and replace the entire plumbing.

I was unhappy with the experience and the price. They wanted to charge me extra to complete the entire job.

We've been using Mr. Rooter for a couple of years now since we moved into our home, but are now choosing to go with another company as our regular plumber. It's a shame because the company is very well run overall: the website is clear, informative, and user-friendly, their phone operators are friendly and knowledgable no matter what time you're calling, and they keep you in the loop with regard to your service with emails confirming your upcoming appointments and digital copies of your invoice via email post visit. It's a large company that is customer friendly and efficient from top to bottom. However, my husband and I do not like the tech that they keep sending; so much so that his last visit drove a to definitively decide never to return to Mr. Rooter. Apparently their techs are each meant to service certain areas, meaning that basically whenever we call, we will most likely get this guy. We did get two different techs the first two times we called (it's a big old house, we've got a lot of projects and things going on, hence the several visits over the last few years), and they were both wonderful, but ever since then it's always been this guy. Basically he has a horribly unprofessional and lazy attitude. The last time he was here, he invited himself to sit on our table stool and check his personal phone while I was moving things to access a pipe for him, didn't say anything or inform us of what was going on or the work that needed to be done until I had to go outside and find him by his van already writing up the bill and ask him to explain to me the exact issue, and he told me with what I perceived to be an attitude that another contractor (who was there to do different work) would be in his way even though he clearly wasn't and was in and out of my house in 10 minutes (he was just taking pictures). These are all little things, but this tech is always like this whenever he is here. The first time, we gave it the benefit of the doubt, but he's been here three times and it's always the same smart-a** lazy attitude. Even if the rest of the company is great and (in fairness) he gets the job done, if we're already dealing with a stressful plumbing issue in our home and paying all this money for repairs, we don't want to have to deal with a tech's bad attitude on top of all that. My husband and I don't care to deal with it further as we kept giving the tech and the company a chance with repeated business. It's not worth the trouble and we're not going to go out of our way to ask them to send a different tech each time we call for service when there are so many other great companies out there. We have since found a new plumber here on Angie's List whose customer service and professionalism was superb from top to bottom and who we will call in the future if we have other issues.

The lady who answered was very polite and told me that she was not available till March and that she didn't have license for our area; hence it did not work out for us. She was very polite and extremely polite and professional.

When I went to visit my mother on Sunday the sink did not drain well, and the downstairs toilet valve did not flush. I found a bill for over $2000 for services allegedly performed and a contract signed for $14.95 per month to this company. My mother's barely legible handwriting was on the contract, as was the credit card. No one had called me that this person was at the house. My brothers and I own the house that my mother is living in.

Both times the service was excellent. The prices were high but I have peace of mind that the work was guaranteed and that I wouldn't have to chase them all over Long Island to get a return call. The plumber was very professional and very knowledgeable. He even cleaned up afterwards.

The service was performed for my mother, in her home. The bathtub faucet was making a terrible noise when she turned on the hot water. The company responded promptly to a phone call at the end of the business day, and scheduled service for 10:00 am the next day. A company representative called in the morning to say that they would be able to arrive earlier than expected, if that was acceptable. The immediate problem was addressed and resolved quickly, and the plumber also provided estimates for possible future services. The reason we gave a rating of "B" for price and quality is simply that we do not know anything about plumbing, and, since the situation was viewed as an emergency, we did not obtain estimates from other companies.

They came to give an evaluation for fixing my bathroom sink faucet. My bathroom sink faucet needed to be changed. It turned out that the lock off valve needed to be changed, also. The total charge for that was over $600.00. This also included warranty on parts and labor. I thought that was way too much. Very professional serviceman. I thought that it was too much. So in the end, I paid $85.81 for the evaluation.

GARY CURLEYS DOES A REAL GOOD JOB. I HAVE USED THEM FOR MANY YEARS AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM AT ALL. THEY COME AND GET THE PROBLEM FIXED IF THERE IS ONE. I FEEL COMFORTABLE KNOWING THAT THEY HAVE CHECKED EVERYTHING OUT.
