It went great! He was very good. very nice and professional.

any I suppose I was satisfied with the service, in that the problem was taken care of.  I was not satisfied with the price.  Admittedly, when the plumber came in, he quoted me a price in advance.  He quoted his prices based on a book with their listed prices.  At first I felt assured by this book, because it seemed as if the plumber would be unable to pull his prices out of thin air.  I was told over the phone that they did not give free estimates, that even if I did not use their service, there would be a charge just for the estimate.  I believe this fee was $99.  I was quoted approximately $900 for the clearing fo the main sewer line and then almost another $300 for the snaking of the upstairs bathtub.

I was surprised by the price, but felt as if I was in a lurch.  I need the downstairs bathroom to stop flooding, I needed to use my water, and I currently had a plumber in my house.  Since I would have to give him nearly $100 just to walk in my door, I went with this plumber.

He performed the services in a little over an hour.  When I wrote him the check, I felt sick to my stomach.

I spoke with several friends and family members that felt as if I had been taken advantage of and that I had been completely overcharged.  Two different people had also had similar roto-rootering done, and had been charge a little under $300 and a little under $500.  The fact that I had been charged over $900 seemed ridiculous to them.  The fact that I had paid nearly $300 just to have a shower drain snaked, seemed utterly insane.

I'm almost embarrassed to say that my step-father called to speak with the plumber.  To make a long story short, the plumber admitted to not being inexpensive and ultimately wound up sending me a $200 refund check.  In my mind, if he felt totally confident in his pricing, if he felt that he hadn't taken advantage of me, he would not have refunded the money.

Again, the work seems to have been quality, but he did not perform rocket science.  Snaking a shower drain seems like plumbing 101, not worthy of a $300 fee.  I think I will go with the more commercial roto rooter companies the next time I need my main line unclogged.

The main lesson I learned was to never pay someone for an estimate.  If they're not willing to give a free estimate, I will not ask of their service.

Always a good experience. They arrive on time, work up an estimate and do the job. Like I mentioned earlier, they are expensive but they do excellent work.

I ended up taking them to court. They sent a young girl with a baby out to do my work. I signed a contract under duress. They make you sign off on the job to cover them in court. Not only were they thieves, but they were also incompetent. Other plumbers told me that the job should have been no more than $350.

I FELT THAT I WAS ROBBED BY CRIMINALS. THE FIRST GUY THEY SENT OUT HAD NEVER EVEN WORKED ON A BOILER. THE PART THAT I NEEDED WAS ONLY ABOUT TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY DOLLARS. THEY OVER CHARGED ME FOR EVERYTHING!

THEY CAME OUT QUICKLY AND FIX THE SEAL WHICH WAS GREAT. I DO NOT LIKE THE FINISH THAT THEY PUT ON THE OUTSIDE AROUND THE BOTTOM OF THE TOILET. I FEEL THAT THEY COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB ON THE FINISH.

I WAS WELL PLEASED WITH MY LOCAL PLUMBING SERVICE. THE PLUMBER ARRIVED PROMPTLY TO THE GUARANTEED ARRIVAL TIME. HE EXPLAINED IN DETAIL THE PROCEDURE BEFORE STARTING. HE MADE SURE WE DID NOT HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS BEFORE STARTING.

THE COMPANY CAME OUT QUICKLY AND DID THE REPAIR. THE PIPE HAD RUSTED OUT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE WORKERS WERE HONEST AND SKILLED IN THEIR TRADE. I HAVE HAD NO OTHER PLUMBING PROBLEMS.
