I am taking Nate Evans to court because of his garage services. One of his references was was actually scammed by him and demanded that Nate take his name off of his reference list. In addition to poor craftsmanship, Nate left the debris in my yard, assuring me that he would get it the next day. After a week, i had to remove it myself. In the contract, part of the price was for a dumpster which he did not provide. I was then asked by Nate's insurance fraud inspector about his truck supposedly being stolen from in front of my house. Nate had told me it was in the shop. It seems he has claimed this before according to a BBB complaint. His company also claims to be BBB accredited, which it is not. A friend who is a contractor pointed out structural issues with Nate's work as well. Nate ignored all of my requests for refunds. He finally responded to my message today, telling me to stop contacting him and that he'd see me in court. This man has left a trail of unsatisfied customers, fraudulent claims, and poor workmanship in his wake.

Nate, does NOT do what he says he will do, does NOT show up when he is suppose to, does NOT return phone calls or texts if he recognizes your number (had to call him from a different cell phone and he picked up right away) will go two days or more as a no call, no show and then have all kinds of excuses as to why he wasn't there.

How'd it go........ NOT VERY WELL, AND I WOULD NEVER USE HIM AGAIN!! This has been one of the worst experiences I have encountered from a "professional contractor. I had a small garage roof replaced on very old detached garage. I also had Nate run electric from my deck to the garage and add fluorescent lights and four outlets. One of the outlets does not work, and I will be paying to have someone else come in to check the electric to make sure it is to code. I don't trust anyone that tells me that he will wire it "hot" and that I don't need to be there to turn off the circuit breaker. It is on a dedicated circuit, but he NEVER asked me if it was. It leaves me wondering.

IF you can get Nate to show up he does a reasonable good job, but good luck with him  showing up on time or even calling for that matter.

Nate Evans was very confident that he could lift our garage and install a new cement floor. He gave us a good price and references, so we hired him. We had concerns from day one. He didn't bring a dumpster and put all the construction debris on the lawn. His crew not professional the workmanship was crude; the worksite was a mess.  He was unable to lift the garage, but decided to pour 10 yards of cement and the result is a disaster.  He refused to take our calls and answer our email. He absconded with $4100. We're stuck cleaning up his mess and paying professionals to undo his work and put our garage back together properly.

I was told that everything would be leveled but the walls are bowing outward by several inches top to bottom. I was told that the base plate would be set on gravel, but one side was just set back down on bare ground that was never leveled so the plate is warped right to left and back to front. The band skirting is only randomly tacked in place at best and dirt was piled back up to hide the fact. The gateway drain is popping out of the ground in two places. I was told that the drain system would keep my garage dry, but it flooded again last week. My work bench braces were all cut off at the bottom and left partially attached at best. The main rear wall support at the bump out is left hanging in mid air. A board was nailed over and is crushing my door motor wiring. The garage door doesn't close all the way. A big pile of debris was left in my yard that they never came back to remove and my lawn was dug up to install the dry well, but was never reseeded. I was made a promise to fix the leaking rear roof but nothing was done. I was promised that they would come back to help me out on other projects I needed done, but you can bet that won't happen. I was promised a contract for the work that wasn't ready yet when I paid them. After they left job, Nate Evans has never returned my calls or attempted to respond to the complaint that I filed with the Better Business Bureau.

The garage was raised, the old cement floor removed, and a new cement floor poured. The new floor is not only thicker, but included rebar for strength. The rotted sills were replaced. Since the lower portion of the studs was also rotted, they were shortened, and new studs were sistered to the originals. The garage was lowered and anchored to the cement floor. Siding that was rotted or damaged to raise the garage was replaced. The garage doors, which had not been working previously, were put in working order.

The work took approximately a week to complete.

I was very pleased with the work Nate Evans and his crew did to save my old garage.
