I called Mr. Marotta's office and left a message for him to call me back. He called me back and asked me a couple questions about the meter. He moaned and groaned, telling me that the NYC Water Board is supposed to be responsible for replacing the broken water meter. He asked me if anyone was currently home, and I told him my contractor is at my house, and give him my contractor's cell phone number. He called my contractor and asked him all sorts of questions about the meter. He complained that he was too old to lay down underneath the deck (to check out anything that is connected to the meter) and said that he is sending one of his younger guys to take a look. No one showed up. Here it is a day later, and still no one showed up, nor did anyone contact either me or my contractor.

The
plumber the sent initially to rewire my boiler wasn’t familiar with the
controls for my radiant floor system. He
did a great job of handing off the job to their electrical subcontractor. He
called and arranged to have the electrician come the same day demonstrating
good customer service skills and genuine concern (the electrician however needs
some training).
The electrician they sent to rewire my boiler controls was very sarcastic with my
wife calling me “Mr. Fix it”. He called me at work and asked if the boiler was
ever in operation and if I had power to the boiler. He also said I had no power
to the transformer. At this point I was p***** off at the dumb questions and
responded yes the boiler worked for the last 5 years and the only reason I
called him was I had un-wired the connections in the summer because I wanted to “clean
up the wiring” and forgot to rewire them. Now it was getting cold outside and
because of work I just didn’t have time to re-learn how I did it. I told him I
had 120volts going into the transformer and 24 volts coming out. I said if he
wanted to check there was a tester on my washing machine behind him. His
attitude changed as he realized I had some skill. Anyway the plumbing company
seemed organized just the sub- contractor could use some customer service training.
I will use them again. The electrician did a great job cleaning up my wiring
and the radiant floor is working better than ever. It appears the system is
running more efficiently so his skill level was high. And coming for me that’s
a lot. He just had poor customer service skills.

They were very good, very professional. The service was excellent. They made room in the schedule for us after a small mixup about when they should come. Joe, the owner, was very responsive to our needs and was very generous with his advice and knowledge. His son worked with him, and it was obvious they both wanted to continue a tradition of good professionalism.

A definite good experience. Friendly and professional. They explained everything that had to be done thoroughly. I live in the second floor apt. and the leak was affecting the apt. downstairs. Before they started any work, they both had to run up and down 17 steps quite a few times to make sure what the problem was. I have had quite a few bad experiences with plumbers, but would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Very well. They knew what they were doing and went about their business in a timely fashion. They explained what they did, exactly what they installed and gave me a brief overview of the essentials pertaining to the new tank. Strongly suggested that I read over the literature which came with the tank and said that if I encountered any problems to call them. None have been experienced.
