Hugo and Sam did an excellent job in my front and back yards. Hugo trimmed two evergreen shrubs, rose bushes and weeded. Everything was cleaned up and tidy before they left. Will definitely hire them again.

The job didn't go... Juliet came over, extremely pleasant, to give me an estimate. My yard is about 2weeks going on 3weeks overdue for maintenance. My back yard is no more than 50x25x50 and the front yard is about 13x10x13. She wanted to charge me an initial fee of $450 Then $65 biweekly. ($65 biweekly is actually a fair price.) but Juliet's explanation about $450 was unacceptable. She said the price was for rubbish removal of the grass and the debris leftover from cutting the shrubs. Now, I've had siding done in the past and I know for sure I paid at least $800 for a container for removal of rubbish. I can't imagine the debris from my yard isn't close to a 1/5th of a container!

I was extremely satisfied. Juliet, Hugo and their team worked very quickly and efficiently to get the work done. When they were finished it looked like a completely different backyard. (please refer to before and after pictures) Juliet still reaches out to see how the sod is doing and gives us advice to maintain it.

After having them check on our backyard and help us decide what to change, we found that the prices are very good, for our area, and that they are very welcome to changes and helping you constuct your yard. They will give suggestions and help you every step of the way. They shortly arrived after calling them and I would recommend anyone in the area to hire them for Fencing, Paving, and Landscaping.

I hired this company (formerly J&R Landscaping) from Angie's
List years ago (2008). At the time I found their prices a bit on the high end for the job, an average of $ 300. We have a tiny front yard already landscaped, and a small rectangle and two 2 feet wide strips in the back yard of our attached small Tudor.
Three years ago, a woman calls us, telling us a sad story about how this was her company, that her husband left her and took all the customers with him, and asking to come do the usual cleaning and planting for us.
Thinking that we should help her rebuild her business, we hired her. She did an ok job, but charged us way more than the usual. But we did not mind much, we thought she was going through a tough time and needed help.
The following year she called again, did the same job, but asked for a huge sum of money. After some give and take we paid her the usual fee for the cleaning and planting ($450). Everybody thought this was way too much for such a small yard.
This year, she kept calling and calling to come for a fall cleaning, but it did not happen. Again in the spring she called and insisted until I agreed to see her to discuss the job I needed her to do. Since I've been in an accident, I received her while in bed, and after discussing my plans, I dropped them completely because she kept asking for more and more money, and we finally returned to our original job of cleaning and planting at the usual fee of $450 plus tax. Since my mobility was restricted, we agreed that she would buy the vegetables and flowers to be planted, that we would reimburse her the bill of the plants plus her extra time.
She did not show up at the appointment, came days later without the plants, did only the cleaning and left all the garbage in our back yard. When I called her about it, she gave me some incomprehensible excuses and complained about her "staff" recruited from the day laborers she finds outside Home Depot and similar stores and how they want to get paid without knowing how to do the job. She came to pick up some branches, but left the garbage bags. She also left us a bill with the whole amount of $450 plus tax, a total of $489.93 !!
When I called her to tell her that she did not complete the job, she yelled at me, hurled vulgarities, threatened to go to court, and hung up on me.
Still, we wanted to give a helping hand to someone we thought needed help in a time of need, since she claimed inter alia to be sick, we sent her a check with $400, with a minor deduction of $50 for the incomplete job.
A few days later she calls my husband claiming that she did not receive the check, which is a complete lie, since that letter was mailed with several others which reached their destination with no problem.
I offered to give her another check. I stopped payment on the previous one, made the check with the same amount $400 despite of any fees I would be charged by the bank for stopping payment.
She came, saw the check and yelled at my husband, I heard her from the second floor, refused to take the check and again threatened to go to court!
We should have known better to try to help someone who never maintained an appointment, did a barely acceptable job, always asking for more money and yelling at her customers. She did that to another customer, also a woman, who dared to call her to ask when she was going to show up at her place !
Finally I noticed a difference in the address here and on the bill. That last one is 103-03 101st Avenue, Ozone Park, NY 11416

Prompt and courteous treatment.

It was a super bad experience. They gave me an estimate to put down a new lawn and they started the job. After one day they said the estimate would be doubled. That was after they started the job, even though I had a written estimate. The written offer was $5000 and they wanted to charge me $10,000 at the end. We stopped the work and asked them to leave. We had another experience where they were digging around the house so we could waterproof the basement. They were going to do that and then they were supposed to get another company in to do the waterproofing. They dug it up and they said they had somebody to come in and waterproof. I wasn't home when the work was done and I found out afterwards that they had done the work themselves and there was no warranty on the waterproofing work. We still had leakage so we asked them to get a copy of the contract from the waterproofing company; that's when they had to admit they had done the work themselves. They were nice guys but they didn't know what they were doing. We are trying to get money back from them and they won't respond. We're getting a lawyer now. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

I called and was told there will be a fee to come out and estimate because it was out of the way,I am in Saint Albans....

I liked that I got the appointment very quickly. They came when I called and asked them to come. I called them on Wednesday and told them to come on Saturday and they came on Saturday as I had asked. They did a good job in cleaning the whole thing and planting the vegetables I had, but they came very late to continue the job. They should have come the following week to continue the job but they came after 8 'o clock in the evening and I did not have them do the work. I ended up doing the work in the backyard myself but I guess they are okay.

There were no services performed because the provider will not travel outside of the Ozone Park area. I phoned to inquire about work and having an estimate done for lawn and yard jobs. When the woman on the phone found out I lived 20 minutes outside of their "home area" she laughed and said, "we won't travel that far." I live in Queens NY, the business is located in Queens NY - I was somewhat baffled. Hired a company that is based out of Mineola, Long Island - they were happy to have the business, never complained about traveling, and did a beautiful job. .

Overall it went very well. This company has done yard and landscaping work for me before and I've been satisfied. They are prompt and professional. The owner, Ram, discusses the details of the job with you beforehand, so that all the trimming etc. is just as you want it. He is very knowledgeable about the various trees and plants and can offer advice as to the best way to care for each one. I needed the yard cleaned up so that I could manage it myself for the rest of the summer. In the fall, I will call this company again.

THEY DO AN EXCELLENT JOB OF KEEPING MY LAWN LOOKING BEAUTIFUL. THEY SHOW UP ON TIME EVERY WEEK. THE STAFF IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. THEY CLEAN UP THE GRASS CLIPPING OFF THE SIDEWALKS.

I FEEL THIS COMPANY IS WONDERFUL. THEY ARE ALWAYS ON TIME AND EFFICIENT. THE WORKERS CLEAN UP THEIR CLUTTER BEHIND THEMSELVES. MY GRASS ALWAYS LOOKS BRIGHT GREEN AND BEAUTIFUL.
