When I called to request service I spoke with Bill and explained the unresponsiveness of the keypad and remote commands to close the door. He asked what exactly was happening and I described how the door would begin to close, then retreat and the light would flash for about 10 times. He said he thought he knew the what was causing the problem but would definitely check it out. He asked when I would be available and I requested an early morning appointment - around 7 or 7:30 would be good on Thursday of that week - it was Monday when I called. At first he said it would be a while before he could accommodate an early appointment because those times are usually secured for installations.  He then suggested that he would be in the neighborhood the next morning and could check the problem and I responded that would be fine as I could arrange my schedule.  He showed up at the stroke of 7am as he promised and reviewed the problem. He requested the remote and then adjusted one of the sensors. He was able to open and close the door successfully with the remote because the sensor was adjusted. I mentioned that the rubber insulator at the bottom of the door seemed to have shrunk a bit . He said it was probably from the weather and moved it so that it was situated in the center.

He handed me back the remote and did not charge for the visit. My family had Harlee Door install this garage door years ago and they have been very responsive over the years to my concerns. They have explained the problem and solution for every instance when I have requested their help.

I would highly recommend them because the are knowledgeable, proficient, fair and responsive.

The retail price for the part was $222 but they charged me $525.  I called them and told him I knew the price of the part.  They said the price was actually $350 and the $175.  They were not friendly when I called them to speak with them. I was only able to speak with secretary and they basically said, "Sorry for you." They didn't clean up after themselves either.

Mr Miller came and gave us an estimate. We set up an appointment. He and crew arrived precisely on time and did the job perfectly. I wish all our home repairs went this smoothly.

They did a very professional job. I would recommend them and I would hire them again.

They gave an estimate that was way lower than a home improvement store's, showed up on time and finished within 3 hours, as promised.

Harlee was the third company that quoted on a door for us. The first guy kept not showing up until we fired him, the second was Home Depot which had a major attitude problem. Bill, whose family business it is, came out to give us an estimate the day after we called, once we signed a contract he made a date for the job (only 2 weeks later), showed up promptly (with another guy) and did an excellent job. It was one of the best experiences I've had with a contractor. It won't necessarily cost you what it cost us by the way, if you are willing to have a cheaper door and don't need a new frame (most won't) it will be a lot cheaper.

THEY CAME OUT WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND THEY GIVE SENIOR DISCOUNTS. THE GUYS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM FOR GARAGE DOOR NEEDS.
