Overall they did a good job, there were just a couple of issues. After the new concrete was poured, they marked the installation holes for the ladder. However they were too close to the edge of the pool, so when the ladder was installed the feet did not rest against the side of the pool as they should. They originally told us we needed a different kind of ladder which they provided at no charge, but that ladder didn't work either. We finally found someone to machine a couple of extensions that we could insert into the feet to make up the inch or so gap. That's when we discovered also that the ladder holes were crooked. One extension had to be made longer than the other. They closed our pool when they installed the new cover. They did not tighten the cover properly so it sagged and filled with water and debris over the winter. Before we could remove the cover this spring we had to pump water off the cover and try to get the leaves, etc off it so they didn't end up in the pool.

First time we called, they told us it was probably a leaky roof and to call a roofer which we did.  The roofer came and inspected the area and said the water wasn't leaking through the roof.  He is a roofer and does not work on chimneys but said he would vouch for it if anyone had any questions.  So I called back, was told the owner would get back to me. I heard nothing, so I called again a week later and was told the owner was now out of town, with a promise he would call early the following week.  No one called (this seems to happen a lot in this area for some reason) so i got the impression they don't want to do the work. I called a stove/chimney company to take a look and we set up an appt to seal the stovepipe on the outside. He said he saw a few places where the sealant needed repaired, so he took care of it.  He brought a tall ladder so he wouldn't have to climb over our steep roof.  It was a rather small job and it only took about 1/2 hour.

Update. We just had a storm with blowing wind and even some hail. There is no water running down the inside stovepipe.

I called Johnson's about replacing some connections to my pump and filter in order to open pool this year. They did a great job, very quick and I was very happy with the work. I have used Johnson's in the past to also replace my liner. I would not go anywhere in the area.....very happy!

They're awesome! So helpful and friendly! They could have completely ripped me off when I needed my flooded pool taken care of, but instead suggested that I put a little labor into the process and saved me $1000! They have been really great; I would definitely recommend them!

They have a fast turnover in employees. Some of them just don't cut it. I give them straight B's across the board.
Response from JOHNSON'S POOLS AND SPAS
"Member, actually we have a very small turnover rate. Our company has several different crews, opening/closing, service, pool rebuilds, and new construction. It is likely the crew who installed your cover was "new to you", as your lead tech has been here for 16 years. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, as is your continued partronage. Thank you."
