Empire Carpets

The owner Steve LaFlamm and his helper did an excellent job from start to finish. Very concientious asked pertinent questions as the job progressed, and after finishing cleaned up all messes and asked if I was satisfied. The answer to that question was yes, they did an exceptional job.

Empire Carpets was contracted through Lowe's to install carpet and laminate flooring in my lake house. Prior to their arrival, I ripped up the old carpet and removed the old tack strips. The installer, Steve was extremely irritated to find that the old tack strips were removed. Steve and his partner continued with the carpet installation, cursing and complaining for several minutes over the tack strips and other issues. When they finished, the partner approached my father and hinted around for a tip for his "hard work." I have never seen such unprofessionalism! Needless to say, Empire Carpets will not be installing the laminate flooring. It should also be noted that when Steve took the initial measurements, he tried to add an additional fee for hooking up the water supply to my refrigerator even after I specifically told him there was no water connection to the refrigerator. I will never use Empire Carpets again!
