Westwood did a good job refinishing the floors. They came three times to apply the finish. The floors looked nice when they were done.

As a new resident of Westchester, I was recommended to Westwood by my realtor. I needed the flooring in the lower level of my house upgraded to hardwood, to accommodate my interior design studio. I have created similar rooms in previous houses, all over concrete floors. I have also dealt with many flooring providers who told me it couldn't be done. In the past, I have had to really push to get them to deliver what I wanted, and eventually I would find the right person to do so. With Westwood, they got it right on the first try. We hit a couple of bumps (had to level the floor more than anticipated; also discovered a sump pump in the corner that we had to work around). But they solved every problem and displayed professionalism and creativity along the way. I will definitely hire them again.

It went great! Westwood has done many jobs for me and each time the work was exemplary. They are always on-time, professional and courteous. They stand behind their work 100%. If I ever have a problem or need them to change something, they are always very responsive. Great customer service. The show room is top-notch -- excellent service with very knowledgeable sales people. they work with your budget and never try to sell you something you don't need. I highly recommend them.

From working with the yard to select our slabs,  to measuring and creating the template and all the way through installation, this team was fantastic!  They were knowledgeable, professional and so easy to work with.  I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent service and superior work.

First point is that the floor looks wonderful I am very happy with the finished product unfortunately getting there was not quite as easy.
I contacted Westwood after seeing their truck on the highway and then looking for them on Angie's list. After seeing basically all good reviews I telephoned and an appt was made for the next day for an estimate. Victor arrived and measured the room and we agreed on price he told me that he would call the next day to arrange a date to perform the work after five days I called them and was told by the person who answered that there was no record and she would get back to me. About an hour later Victor called and said he was sorry for not contacting me but would tomorrow between nine and ten work for me I agreed. The next day I waited until 11:30 before calling the office only to be told again "We'll get back to you" about fifteen minutes later Victor once again called and again apologized stating that the crew he sent had broken down and had not contacted the office but that they would be there in about one hour. Finally at about 1:30 they arrived and completed the job. The results were excellent but losing a whole morning waiting was quite annoying

Company was very professional. Came out to do an estimate immediately, got back with the price in a few days. Invited us to come to the showroom to look at the wood samples in person, since we decided to go with pre-finished wood. Showroom staff very nice and helpful. Installer came on time with the crew, was extremely hard working and professional. Job took 2 days, looks beautiful. Hauled away all materials and carpet immediately, left no mess.

We first met Tom, who provided great service, giving us all available options and let us take our time to make the right decision.
Based on the great sales service from Tom, we opted to have westwood also install the hardwood floors. And that is where we met Pat. He visited our new apt, and did a quick measurement. He provide us with a quote and closed on the price.
Once he opened up the floors, he found out that there were other issues, and that were going to need to add plywood before installing the floor. There were no added charges.
Tom , Pat and their crew were professional. I'll would certainly recommend them to family and friends.

Exact schedule for the floor work was not fully clear from the start of the work, the workers were polite and professional.  It came out beautiful, but surface was a little gritty in a few places.

Everything went as expected. Job took 3 days. The apartment was cleaner than when the job began. The floors looked great.

This is sort of two tales about one store. Everyone I dealt with in the showroom at Westwood, especially Thomas, was polite, professional and helpful as we went through the difficult process of picking a countertop and backsplash. Their advice was insightful throughout and they helped steer us toward optimal solutions within our budget. When we settled on a backsplash that was a little more than we had anticipated, Tom worked with the manufacturer to get a deal on volume pricing because of the number of tiles involved.



My issue, however, stems from the other end of the business. For visits to do the template of the countertop and for the actual installation, the crew arrived late and only after I had placed phone calls to inquire about their whereabouts. When the countertop was put in, the crew broke a valve underneath my sink, which will now require a plumber's visit and turning off of the water. Westwood said, without an argument, it will pay for this, but it's an inconvenience. A little more care and attention to the detail and this situation could have been avoided.



I also had an issue where I discovered the edges of the countertops were not shaped consistently. Some were curved, others straight. But the only way to fix it was to take back the entire countertop and refabricate it. That wasn't happening. Westwood did take some money off the final bill to make amends. Again, the customer service in the front is beyond reproach. For that, I would recommend them.



However, more attention to detail and better training of those who visit the house and ultimately shape the full experience of dealing with the store is needed.

We had a great experience with Westwood flooring.  Victor took the time to answer all of our questions, not only on the day he came to take a look at the job and give us an estimate, but several times after we received the estimate.  He was very patient with us!  They refinished two bedrooms and a hallway.  The floors were in pretty rough shape after years of being covered in carpet.  The job took about 4 days and was completed while we were on vacation.  When we returned from vacation we were VERY pleased to see how great the floors had come out.  It was the best decision we've made so far in our short home improvement history.  I highly recommend Victor and his team.  They are very professional and do outstanding work.

Floors had been previously covered by old carpeting and even laminate in some places.  They were a real wreck before Westwood got there.  The crew worked quickly and really did an amazing job restoring the natural wood.  Excellent quality work.  Arrived when they were supposed to and finished on time.  Very fair pricing.  Highly recommended.

They, did a fantastic job. They were on time and did more work than was included in the original estimate and didn't ask for more money. The craftsman who did the work was a tru professional with 12 years experience. I would definitely use them again!

This was a redo from a previous remodeling.  Victor and Joe were great - they did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it.  They really put my mind at ease that the job was going to be done to our specifications.  And, it was.

They were alright.  The work is fine.  The sales guy told me he was confident we could move our stuff in a few days after the floors were done.  The contractors who were still doing some work while the floors were being done warned us to wait longer.  They did decent work, but our contractors were not as confident in the time frame given to move in and move furniture around.  The floors do look great.

We had originally thought of considering Westwood Flooring to do our bamboo flooring for the master bedroom and loft area.  They had been highly recommended by several friends who lives in our neighborhood.  Thus, when we went to their showroom, we only looked at their wonderful displays of wooden flooring and never thought of getting tiles from them.  They were also recommended to us by All Star Woodworking for their countertops.  While purchasing the countertops at Westwood for our new bathroom vanities and tub deck, Thomas of Westwood asked us if we needed tiles.  It was only then that it dawned on us that they also sold tiles.

In shopping around, we found that Westwood Flooring gave us the best pricing on any tiles that we ordered.  But, what was a great, added bonus was the wonderful customer service and support that we received.  On a few occasions, we saw tiles elsewhere that were not displayed at Westwood.  Thomas would call his distributor and order us samples so that we could take them home to see if they were a right fit for room and the lighting conditions in our house.  As well, Thomas allowed us to borrow and take home any tiles that we found at Westwood in order for us to see if those tiles would work well with what we wanted for a particular room.

Also, there were times where we weren't quite sure what style or color of tiles we needed.  After describing our design plan, Thomas was able to go though his wide selection of tiles and give us recommendations to consider.  As previously described, he allowed us to borrow and take home samples to look at it under the lighting conditions in the rooms of our home.

Generally, the longest that we ever waited for any order was one week.  More often than not, it would not take more than two or three days.  There were three occasions where we had underestimated our order, and needed tiles quickly to complete the various projects.  In all three cases, Thomas was able to rush the order where I was never delayed more than 2 days.

Finally, the tiles that Westwood carries are all of high quality.  They truly carry a wide selection of tiles that would meet the needs of anyone.  It is without hesitation that we recommend Westwood Flooring for any of your tile needs.  As a further and related note, we have not only been pleased with their tiles, but we have also been completely satisfied with the countertop work and bamboo floor installation that we ultimately had Westwood Flooring do for us.  They truly are a hidden treasure worth finding.
