"Santucci Bros Contracting has been in business for over 15 years and the family business since 1972. We are proud of the quality of our work and the many repeat customers that we have. We have received dozens of the highest ratings from both Angie's List as well as from the many other business websites. Ms. [Member Name Removed] contacted us on March 7th . She was asked a number of standard questions including her name, address, description of work to be done, her email address and how she found us. She told us she was from Angie's List as well as telling us a complete description of where her house was and the red brick wall. She did not provide an email address. The information was relayed to Mr. Santucci and he arrived at the home, after Ms. [Member Name Removed] changed the date a number of times. Ms. [Member Name Removed] continued to call us numerous times, pressuring a secretary to provide an "estimate quote" over the phone while making the appointment. She also said she wanted an "exact date" when the project would take place. I explained to her that we are at the mercy of the weather and cannot commit to an exact date. The blacktop yard was not yet open for the season. She was obviously not happy; then she proceeded to tell us that she has gotten a low quote and the other contractor can start the job. She continued to call us pressuring us to provide a start date. When Mr. Santucci arrived for the estimate, again she pressured for an immediate quote as well as a firm commitment on a start date. We do not give immediate quotes. Mr. Santucci explained that it was the beginning of the season and blacktop prices must be researched. He gave Ms. [Member Name Removed] a ballpark quote. After she received the quote, she said that she had a 5%"coupon". Mr. Santucci explained to Ms. [Member Name Removed] that the Angie's List discount is already applied and that you cannot apply an additional discount. Ms. [Member Name Removed] was not happy. When the estimate was sent to Ms. [Member Name Removed], she was given MORE than the 5% discount she was entitled to. She told us she wanted us to do the job. It was scheduled and Mr. Santucci called her to let her know we were coming the following week. She then told us after receiving the proposal to sign, that she was "cancelling the job". It is always our goal to please our customers. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction. It is unfortunate when an incident like this occurs."
"Thank you for the review. It was our pleasure."
"It is unfortunate that we were unable to make this potential customer happy. The details and scope of the project being requested was completely changed from the original request. The day of the estimate meeting, there was a problem with our truck. The owner Personally called and explained that we had an emergency situation; and in an effort to keep the appointment, sent our foreman. The homeowner said that he had a "communication gap" with our foreman? Considering that he has gone on many customer estimates and taken them to completion, I find this difficult to understand. Never the less, if this potential customer felt that he could not communicate with our foreman, he had the personal cell phone of the owner, and we would have been more than happy to reschedule the appointment. We made numerous attempts to contact this home owner in an attempt to make him happy, but he has not returned any calls or emails. Santucci Bros Contracting has been in business for over 15 years, and has numerous Repeat customers. We pride ourselves on our quality workmanship and happy satisfied customers."
"Thank you for the great review. We are so happy you liked the finished product. It was our pleasure."
