CARMINE CALANDRELLO MASON CONTRACTOR INC

The masonry was done very well. This was mainly foundation on a 1880 house. In the process, he rightly discovered a sewer problem, but he was not competent to fix it. I ended up paying a lot for his sewer work and then having to get someone else to do it. The insullation work was done well, but it was not finished by the winter, so I did not get the benefit during the heating season. I would use him again, but only for masonry and always with a substantial hold back. He and his son are very nice.

From soup to nuts Carmine handled everything. He also helped talk to the town inspectors to explain the work and get their cooperation.

He does amazing work. He is always a pleasure to deal with and is very honest. Carmine does great work.

Carmine met first, gave a nice suggestions that we like, gave an acceptable offer. I started to go through city paper work; when I was done with permits 3 months later, Carmine disappeared. When I finally got to him he told that he is busy with 2 M $ house. He is unreliable and can turn away any time. I do not recommend to rely on him.

I called Carmine again for my next stone project. 
It turns out reason for his disappearance was that  he got into car accident and broke his leg/arm.
I've got from him design ideas that we used with another contractor.

Watching as each day his team carefully, patiently prepared land, deliberately select, tool, shape and place each stone was like watching artists at work. And, aside from their craftsmanship, they were always on schedule, kept the work area clean and safe, and were consistently courteous, and just as enthusiastic as Carmine. While all elements - the walls, floor, wrought iron, design, etc...- were beautiful and in perfect harmony with one another, the one standout was the fire pit. Carmine designed this based on his years of experience of what works and what doesn't, and what will ensure you actually use it a lot, and this was a home run! He assigned the task to one of his top masons who alone for three days, patiently constructed a functioning work of art that we enjoy frequently with family, and friends. It is, just as Carmine said, the place where everyone wants to hang out! In summary, the patio, and experience far exceeded our expectations. We enjoy it immensely, as well as the complements from visitors, and is our favorite room in the house from May to November...and sometimes beyond! Our backyard was virtually unusable land. We met with Carmine and he proposed some terrific ideas to help turn our backyard into a paradise. Carmine and his team were responsible, courteous, and punctual. Carmine was on the job everyday which really helped the process go smoothly.
