"I felt it necessary to respond to your review that you made on Angies list 6/27/14, A YEAR after your pet Diesel was boarded at my facility. I believe the dates you are referring to was from 7/13/13- 7/21/13. With each customer, I record notes upon drop off and pick up. I do recall that you sent your personal dog sitter to pick up Diesel on 7/21/13. When picking up, she was told that Diesel didnt seem to be himself. He hadn't eaten much and seemed to be a little quiet, except for a occasional cough. Since your pet sitter had animals of her own, I suggested to her that she take Diesel to the Vet- especially that she told us that she was watching Diesel for the next 6 days. She asked me if I thought it could wait until the owner came home. I explained to her that if it was the beginning of an upper respiratory issue, and it went untreated it could turn into pneumonia. She then wanted to know who was going to pay for the vet visit? I explained to her that to me the health of the dog was more important right now. She explained that she had Diesel for a couple of days prior to Diesel being boarded with us and she brought him to the kennel when she went on vacation. ANd now she would have him for the next 6 days until the owner came home. I asked if it was possible that Diesel picked something up from her dogs and she didn't reply. She paid the bill, signed Diesel out and left the premises. The next call we received was from you screaming at me expressing that you had just picked up Diesel from being hospitilized with pneumonia! I was completely shocked when getting this call. Especially since we had not heard form your pet sitter of any issue and we assumed everything was ok. After your call, I phoned your Vet's office. They explained that Diesel WAS NOT brought into their office until the morning of the day that you returned form vacation. You had actually picked Diesel up when you got home. They also explained that since your pet was not seen right away, he developed an upper respiratory infection. He was diagnosed and sent home with you with medications and would be fine. This is why we do not normally let owners have someone else pick up their pets for them, especially when they do not do what is best for the dog. We recorded calls to you on 7/30, 8/1 and 8/3 all in 2013. You stated that Diesel was feeling much better. His cough was almost gone and he was going to be on medication for another week. You thanked us for calling. I feel that if you were going to give an F rating to anyone, you should have given it your pet sitter."
