CTR Home Inspections

Excellent! I had to use CTR twice as the first offer on a home I was looking to purchase fell through due to the Seller. Mike and Jim were extremely friendly and professional. They allowed me to ask all the questions I needed while doing the inspection and pointed out any issues as they went. I received the report in less than 24 hours and it was very detailed and easy to read. They encouraged me to call them after I received the report to ask further questions. I would highly recommend using CTR!

After they did such a thorough job on the first home we wanted to purchase it was a no brained to call them for another when the first one fell through. The first home looked beautiful on the outside but they uncovered a ton of things that were big money items as well as safety issues for our family. The buyers refused to fix the issues so we had to move on. Not only are they incredible home inspectors, they are great individuals. Straight forward and diligent in everything they do.

Mike and Jim did a great job. They took on our inspection last minute and made it worked, they even arrived early and began working right away. Throughout the inspection, they kept us aware of what they were doing. They also insisted we ask any and all questions we may have. Throughout the process, they made recommendations to us regarding what needed to be updated and who to use in order to get the best "bang for your buck".

Professionalism and dedication. Our first time having a house inspected for purchase. Mike our inspector took time to look at every detail of the house with thoughtful diligence. He and his partner took detailed notes and pictures not leaving any detail unnoticed. He climb to the roof and also managed to fit inside a small opening in the basement to inspect the ground level of an addition that was made into the property. He was able to spot termites that most inspectors wold not have done. I became confident while Mike was inspecting the property that we were in good hands. From the very beginning to the end which took 3 to 4 hours of detailed observations and conversation we ultimately left the property feeling assured to our decision. CTR performs excellent home inspections. We've used their services twice for new home purchases and they are great. CTR is a very professional company. They arrive early and perform a very thorough and complete job. They are serious about their work and reputation and go the extra mile to make sure you are aware of any potential issues before buying your home. They check everything from top to bottom and explain each item/area to you as they walk through the house. I would recommend them highly.

Michael did a fantastic and thorough job inspecting a home we're in the process of buying. He was so attentive and willing to explain everything he saw and found, that my wife and I felt totally comfortable moving forward with our purchase.

Mike was really detailed not only during the inspection, telling us what he was doing and looking for, but the report afterwards. We had the inspection on Friday at 3 and got the report Saturday afternoon! So fast and came with pictures too. Mike helped us discover aspects of the potential home that we were not aware of, and we are SO grateful! We have decided not to go with that home due to so many hazards found during the inspection. It was well worth the money, and he charged a competitive rate. We plan to call him again as we continue to house hunt.

Mike Cotter greeted us at the house at the exact time that he promised. He walked us through the house, and he identified spots that should be addressed by the home seller. His recommendations and suggestions were on point. The sellers agreed to address all of the issues that he found.

Mike was waiting at the house for me for the scheduled inspection. He stepped out of the truck to introduce himself and got right to work. He was more than courteous and professional, he was very easy to talk to and really helped me make a great decision. Mike is also a wealth of knowledge and taught me a few things about my home that I surely would not have noticed or figured out on my own. The report I received was extremely thorough and it's still working for me today. I get a recall report every month on all of the appliances/equipment in my home. Mike from CTR home inspections was very accommodating on very short notice. We called him on a Wednesday and he made himself available the following Saturday. Mike was also very informative as he walked me through his inspection process from crawl space to attic and around the complete exterior. I really appreciated the inclusion in the that process as we were buying a home for the first time. While being very personable, a high level of professionalism was maintained as we received an easy to read comprehensive report in digital format. We also appreciate the enrollment into a website that Monitors recalls on all of our major appliances (We receive a monthly report via email).
Mike identified areas of concern which in turn I was able to negotiate into the contract for our home purchase. We also discussed some less significant concerns that could be addressed personally. As a handy DIY person I was able to use these areas as additional negotiating points. Since the wonderful experience we had with CTR home inspections we have been recommending to everyone we hear might need their services.

He was prompt and took his time.

He first made observation of the outside of home which included the siding, stairway for all entries, also went under storage areas to look for water damage or bug infestation. Took a close look at slate roof using binoculars as well as leaders & gutters. Inspected gas & electric boxes as well as service feeds for any damages.

On the inside he checked water pressure, hot water heater, all electric outlets & panel, ran heat & air conditioner inspected units.  Look at walls & windows for leaks or damage. Checked both the house & garage for termite damage.

Must note he took pictures that he provided in his very detailed report. Report was very detailed easy to follow that was sent to us within 48hrs
