He was absolutely wonderful.  He was professional and courteous.  He was very good and it was worth it.  He is prompt and came when he said he was going to come.  He was very thorough and took his time.  I forgotten how long he stayed but he stayed quite a while.  I have three floors and he went to the basement, second level and my loft.  He didn't rush and he told me that I needed a banister going down stairs; I had one on one side but he said I needed another one on the other side.  Three weeks later I fell on the basement because I didn't have that banister.  What he told me was absolutely correct.  It was a good experience and he even gave me a writing pen.

This was a great experience. We are buying our first home - a post and beam structure built in 1850, which had been in foreclosure and bought by a couple looking to clean it out and flip it. Since they gave us no seller disclosure we had no idea if the house had "good bones" or would be a total money pit. We called him as soon as our initial contract was signed but with very short notice. He was free and agreed immediately to do the job on our one day of availability. The inspector arrived early, gave us his contract to read over and sign, in which everything was very clear and upfront, then spent almost four hours going through every nook and cranny of the house. He answered our many questions and explained everything he was doing. He found a large flaw in the fireplace set up that saved us $3000. He subcontracted a colleague to do the wood destroying insect inspection and we were glad we followed his advice as he found carpenter ants in the garage. He took many pictures and notes and a few days later emailed us a report (we did send him a little email reminder which he responded to immediately). He followed up with a bound paper copy via snail mail a few days later. All in all a great professional that helped us realize both the assets and the challenges we would be getting with the house. Highly recommend this vendor.
