After the roof was installed, we had  leaks in the skylights and Bob Weaver said he had a fix for it.  He never came to fix it.  We contacted him by phone numerous times and left numerous messages.  We eventually had to go to his house and catch him at dinner.  At that point he said he would be over the next morning.  we waited for him all morning and tried to contact him again.  He never came and we gave up on him.   The roofer that we now contacted through Angie's list (numerous A ratings)  was very critical of the way Weaver had installed the standing seam roof . He indicated that Weaver had used screws rather than flashing and booting made for standing seam roofs. He said that if we did not use sealant that we could expect leaks in the future. He believed that Weaver did not return our calls because he did not want to have to deal with a bad job. We are dismayed that we spent the money for standing seam only to have it "patched up" with sealant.

The job went OK. I had asked about snow guards when first inquiring about the roof. I was told that it wouldn't be much more than $500 to add. The contractor never put in the contract and I took him on face value that he would take care of it. He never materialized.with even an estimate to put them on. I had to do it myself and it was around $1000 to do properly.
Be sure to withhold money fo final payment and get  EVERYTHING in writing. He also asked for CASH rather than any other form of payment. DO NOT do this either.
