John Gordon is a local Olean, New York contractor that I have employed on numerous occasions. John’s work is impeccable and he focuses on even the finest of details. John does a thorough job of cleaning after completing any and all projects. In all cases, my house has been left cleaner AFTER John Gordon has completed his project! John has an excellent rapport with Olean home improvement supply companies. His cooperative efforts with Close Lumber representatives resulted in a high quality effort in completing my recent deck project. John is very knowledgeable in all aspects of home improvement. In areas such as plumbing, etc. John utilizes the services of certified personnel to insure that the project is completed in a quality manner. Regarding another review posted on this website, the negativity described in no way resembles John Gordon’s excellent work ethic. John’s years of experience and attention to detail are very apparent to anyone who would closely inspect his work. John has completed many projects for me and for my neighbors. He has consistently received a high approval rate from all of us. I would strongly recommend John Gordon for any home improvement project that you might be considering. He will do an excellent job for you or he will refer you to someone who can complete a project, such as roofing, which is not in his area of expertise.

Contractor was found to be dishonest about cost of materials. Contractor did substandard work and failed to disclose structural problems. Contractor caused damage to existing structure but failed to disclose damage and attempted to hide same. Contractor was unprofessional in his dealings with home owner and negligent in the basic duties of his job ***UPDATE This contractor is NOT a licensed contractor and has been operating without obtaining the required license through the municipality in which he works. Contractors insurance status is unknown
