 + -1 moreMy brother and I went in for plywood to cover our windows in preparation for hurricane irene's arrival. They asked how they could help, recommended the proper lumber and did some cutting on their large saw. What a suprise it was, then, to discover that they had tarps, masking tape and sump pumps!
Description of Work: Whitbread's is a 60+ year old family owned lumberyard. My dad was a carpenter and i have fond memories of him selecting the proper wood and sizes. They also carry an extensive hardware selection. They will give novices advice, and they will cut your lumber if you need a certain size. THIS IS NOT A DISCOUNT chain, but the friendliness, courteousness and stock make up for this. One should pay more for service and advice. EXAMPLE: We are now less than a day until hurricane Irene arrives, and they have, in stock, tarps, lumber and sump pumps! Incredible!
