"I am sorry this client feels there was poor communication. I have just gone over all the messages from the past 2 years and while we were in 'talks' prior to contract, all phone calls were answered right away or when they needed to specifically speak to the owner - they were called back within 2 days; which is a very reasonable amount of time. As far as the time-line for project start, we try very very hard to stick to the time-lines we tell our clients, but there are many circumstances that we cannot control that may cause setbacks and delays. Weather, is probably the biggest factor, but there are also times when we are short a crew-member or 2; or job-site 'surprises' - when while doing demo or the actual build that we either come across something that couldn't be seen until we started work that may slow the guys down or the client makes some changes or additions on the spot that may take more time than we allowed for. These are just a few examples. We do try very hard and so do our guys; they often work late to make up for lost time. In regard to the tree that died, i could not find any messages that they called about the tree. As i explained above, I looked through 2 years of messages. We would have absolutely sent someone to look at the tree as we do have a 1 year warranty on trees and shrubs (of course conditions do apply) and we are very good at honoring our warranty. We are certainly willing to replace the tree if the client has not replaced it yet, at our wholesale cost. The office is staffed Monday through Saturday specifically to handle the phones and scheduling. I apologize if a message was missed; we certainly aren't perfect but we do place a priority on customer service and do our best. We would still like to make this customer happy and replace the tree at our wholesale cost, if they want."
