My underwater pool light didn't work. I wasn't sure if it was the bulb or the fixture. Though I suspected it was the fixture. I called some pool service companies all of whom told me to call an electrician. I then called some electricians who told me it was a job for a pool service company. Finally I found Meyers Wires. I spoke to the owner Paul, who assured me he did pool wiring. he came over the same day, and found the problem. He fixed the problem, which was a faulty neutral wire. However the fixture was shot and had to be replaced. Furthermore, it turned out the original wiring had been done incorrectly (timer and switches were not GFCI and were too low to the ground, flooding the junction box), so he raised the timer, and installed GFCI switches so everything was up to code and up at reasonable height. He even buffed my metal timer box and painted it at no extra charge He also recommended the new pool light and where I could find it for the cheapest price. Paul did all the work (with a helper) and was always on time. The quality of his work was excellent. He was also very upfront about how much it would cost. One other thing I like to mention is whenever I called Paul, he either answered the call or if I left a message he'd call me right back. If you ever had a problem trying to get a contractor on the phone, you'd really appreciate someone who gets back to you right away. I would definitely recommend Meyers Wires.

It went very well. I have used Meyers Wires in the past and would recommend him. Last year he did some electrical work and part of that job was the solar component for the outside light. I called him and told him it wasn't working. He responded in a timely manner (same day) and arrived to make the repair at the appointed time. I was very pleased with the result. He replaced the part at no charge explaining that it should not have failed. I wanted to compensate him for his time he refused to take any payment. He is professional and knowledgable.

"Dear [member name removed] I would like to bring to your attention that drilling the beams to install wiring is a far better job than installing the wiring in a basement under the the beams. Installing the wiring under the beams without drilling is a shortcut that most electricians take. It is a violation & hazard because the wire can be accidentally damaged by someone working in the basement. When wiring a entire house from scratch all electricians drill the beams. Drilling the beams does not weaken the structure. It takes longer & that is why majority does not do it. I am not the majority. I am faster than a bullet as you know & a perfectionist as you can see. Paul called me back within a half hour of my initial call. He came by at the end of the day armed with a pad and a pen. He managed to translate my poor descriptions into clear English. Afterward, he gave me an itemized estimate. He included the time needed for the project and the need for two people. They came on time and set to work. He was meticulous. He showed me what the original problem was and took me through his repairs and upgrades. He replaced the label on the circuit board and cleaned up his workspace. His final bill was actually $50 less than his quote.

He did an excellent job. Was always there on time, worked very clean, extremely honest and he stands behind his work. He is not the cheapest electrician out there, but I would gladly work with him again.
