Paul cam to assess the mold on my basement walls and he didn't just come in a look. He went above what we thought he'd do and inspect the baseboard in the entire basement. He also checked oitsode to see where the moisture could be coming in from. He was very efficient and helpful with providing information on air filters, remediation, and potential causes and how to prevent. We would use him again.

Angstrom Testing used a moisture meter and found that one of the kitchen walls and an area of the kitchen ceiling in my mom's apartment were wet. Then they took an air sample in the kitchen and sent the sample to the lab to determine the level of mold in the air. After that, they made a cut into the wet area of the kitchen ceiling and found a dripping water pipe. The top side of the ceiling was black with mold. They also took a piece of sheetrock out of the top of the wet kitchen wall and found more mold on the back of the wall (yuck!!).
They called me two days later with the air test results, and they told me that the level of mold in the air was very high. They also told me that there was probably a connection between my mom's symptoms and high levels of mold in the air. Makes sense. They also told me that that my mom should stay upstairs with me and my husband until we get rid of the moldy ceiling and wall in her apartment.
A few days after they called, Angstrom emailed me a report with all of the details of what they did and found. In the report, they wrote recommendations and procedures that a mold removal contractor should follow to safely remove the mold and dry and treat the wood wall frames and wood ceiling. Since the level of mold in the air was so high, they said in their report that the kitchen air should be cleaned with an air cleaner and that the kitchen appliances, cabinets, and floor should be wiped down to get rid of all the mold spores that were laying around.
I really appreciated all the work they did and all of the advice that they gave me to help me and my mom. My mom is now living upstairs with me and my husband, and she says that she is already starting to feel better. Although my husband is not too happy (LOL). Great company! Thanks.

My apartment is on the top floor of the building. The fire department broke through the roof, and they filled my apartment with water to put out the fire. They also broke a few walls. The insurance company sent in a fire restoration company to remove my damaged property and the damaged wall, ceiling, and floor materials. However, they were also supposed to clean the remaining walls, floors, and ceilings throughout the apartment that were not damaged/removed.

The building is old, so there is lead paint on most of the walls. As it turns out, the roof membrane contains asbestos, and some of the walls are constructed of cement. The laboratory test results of the samples collected in my apartment indicated that my apartment was contaminated with asbestos from the roof, lead dust from the paint, silica from the cement walls, and mold from water damaged sheetrock surfaces that were not removed. Residual carbon soot was also found on the windowsills in my bedroom.

The Angstrom Mold Inspection Report was very well written, and it included a detailed scope of work for the necessary additional removal and cleaning work that was needed in my apartment. The lab reports documented the presence of contaminants, which substantiated the need for additional work. I gave the Inspection report to my insurance company, and they had the restoration company return to my apartment to perform the necessary additional removal and cleaning work. Then I had the Angstrom Mold Inspection Company return to perform a follow-up inspection and testing, and the lab results came back negative. Thank God!

This company is great, and I fully trust their expertise. Well worth the money.
