Really great experience, from the initial phone call to completion of work, they anticipated my every need. The materials they use are top notch, the workers were punctual, polite, neat (they even picked through my shrubs to get small pieces of debris out). Both the roof and siding projects were seamless. I was able to contact Chris, my job supervisor, pretty much instantly through email. anything I needed was addressed essentially within the hour. These guys really have their act together, I would hire them for any project.

Probably the most ULTIMATE, professional experience i have ever had. Starting from Robert Trincellito, the sales rep, going thru to the foreman Teddy and his workers on the job, they were precise,very courtiuos...alos including the guys that installed the soffits and gutters. Totally professional on all three aspects of the job. I received several quotes and they were in the ballpark with other quotes. This also including the owner, Mitch, who was a pleasure to deal with over the phone. The cleanup was imaculate, so imaculate that you could eat off the ground after they cleaned up..and i should know, i am a chef!

I thought Major Homes did a good job. They negotiated very well with us. They were very nice. A friend of mine recommended this company, they came out for an estimate and we decided they were right for us. They offered a good quality price and the financing was comfortable. I can't sing enough praises for Major Homes! Everything from quote to clean-up went smoother and quicker than we ever expected. I feel like I may be divulging some top-secret information here because I think I may have found one of the last honest contractors! It's obvious that Mitch (the owner) has succeded in instilling his belief in the importance of doing the job right and the customers satisfaction thoughout Major Homes. From top to bottom these guys did everything in their power to make sure that the end result was a smile on our faces. I can't tell you how many times I was asked if we were happy with the work being done. Mitch was always available and always very patiently understanding with all of our many, many questions and requests. He is a man of principles and values who will tell you his opinions, but will respect yours as well. Chris (our project manager) was also very available, kept his finger on the pulse of the work on a constant basis, and kept me informed of every step of the process. Teddy (our site manager) is one-of-a-kind; a truly dedicated professional. This guy knows his job like the back of his hand and runs a team that just won't quit. I have never seen such a hard working, professional, and dedicated group of guys. To sum it up; the job started earlier than estimated, was completed much sooner than expected, came in right on estimate, and looks fantastic. We have had numerous compliments from neighbors and friends and we couldn't be more pleased. Cheers to Mitch, Chris, and Teddy! Thanks guys!

Russ supervises the job. He'll answer all your questions. He comes to take measurements of everything. In 5-6 weeks the windows were ready and he called to set up an appointment to install them. Everything was in order. Full screens, half screens, frosted, with grids and without grids, each of the specifications we had wanted in various rooms came exactly as we had asked. They even send some instructions on how to be prepared for their work, moving breakables out of the way, etc. They also have a wonderful technique that I had not heard from any of the other contractors I had interviewed the previous year. Instead of removing the sashes from the inside, which can lead to broken moldings and unsightly cracks in the paint, they cut perhaps 1/2" on the outside of the sashes and pull everything out that way. Most windows we didn't even have to take down the curtains! My wife was home for the whole process and was very pleased. They did it all in one day and I came home to a beautiful, professionally finished job.

Their sales person contacted us right away and they were on time. The job supervisor came every day and ensured that they stuck to the timeframe. They were very respectful, careful and cleaned up the mess. They did their job systematically and completed their work efficiently. They were very reasonable compared to the other companies. Mitch was very thorough in his presentation to my wife and I and answered all of our questions, which were significant. Mitch was also very accommodating in letting me do some work to reduce the cost such as all the old siding removal, and window installation, as well as another contractor doing masonry work at the same time. They also were accommodating with a color change a week prior to the install. Due to the weather, the mason couldn't finish on time, which delayed the siding on the front and sides of the house. Teddy, the on site foreman worked with me and as very understanding. They, like us, wanted the job done right and if that meant they had to wait an extra day, so be it. I can honestly say our house is now the envy of the street. The work was perfromed back in Nov, and we are still receiving complements. Thanks Mitch for a great job.

As I said before, my appreciation of Major Homes is due to much more than just the wonderful job done on my roof. Whenever I run into even minor problems, I know I can count on them to come quickly and handle the job beautifully. They have never "put me off" because it is a "small job". AND - my "snow worries" have vanished now that I know I can depend on them for my snow removal! Not only do they "do the job", but so well, that you'd never even know there had been snow (on the areas they shovel, of course). And, if they've done me early and there is more snow, they come back! I know that I can rely on Major Homes for everything; big jobs, small jobs and even snow!

Extremely well. The first salesperson was a bit goofy but the owner figured that out and reached out to us which we appreciated. We took our time doing our due diligence (talked to enough window guys to last two lifetimes) and decided that Major overall seemed like the right company. We were very concerned with how the windows would look on our old house and we are very happy with them. The installers were hard working professionals (we're not even sure they stopped for lunch). In short I'd be happy to work with Major Homes in the future.

The job went very well. Mitch told us right up front what to expect (what problems we might encounter and what we needed to do to take care of them if we encountered any). His estimate on cost and time were almost spot on and would have been if we hadn't had delays from another vendor. Mitch and his team followed up regularly with us to make sure everything was to our liking and encouraged us to contact them immediately if we found anything wrong. They told us they preferred having us "bug" them daily than waiting until the project was over and handing them a list of issues. It is easier to fix the problem right away than wait until everything is finished. This is the first time we have done any home improvement and Mitch walked us through step by step what was going to happen and said "There will be some rough spots, but when I'm through you will be happy." When it was all finished we were happy. And yes we have recommended him to our friends.

I was satisfied with the experience, except it took almost twice as long as they said it was going to take. I also just found that I had to continually follow them up, as opposed to them letting me know what was going on, but I was satisfied at the end. It just took a longer time. They did keep their appointments when working though. What I liked about them is they spoke English. In my neighborhood, there a lot of foreign contractors, and lots of times you cannot get anything across to them, so the communication back and forth was good.

They were on time for the estimate but they don't give the estimate right there, they have a second meeting with you to discuss it. I asked for a rough guess and was told a bathroom like mine is between $15,000-$20,000. I knew right there I could not use them. When he called a few days later to meet to discuss the estimate I told him that based on his guess at the first meeting that I knew his company was out of my budget. He said he understood and thanked me for not using his time for the second meeting. He stayed on the phone with me for about 15 minutes and gave me a lot of advice on contractors, where to check them out and what to look for. I thought he was really great and wished he was within my budget.

My Tudor house is nearly 80 years old and they help me keep it in good condition. Major Homes has different people in charge of arranging different-type projects. After I had had a lot of exterior work done, I needed to update the kitchen. I called Mike, the person I had dealt with for these projects. He referred me to Janet, saying, you wouldn t want your kitchen to be my first kitchen, would you? So Janet did a great job on the kitchen and eventually the baths, and then when it was time for the roof and some windows, I called Mike again. Down the line, they have responsive and responsible crew chiefs; they hire good demolition contractors; and their paperwork is always in order. All the necessary permits are obtained, which is important because my village is very strict in its oversight of home improvement projects. The contracted (sub-contracted?) plumbers are excellent and the tile people are master craftsmen. Their prices are honest and fair. There is always someone else you can find to do the job cheaper, but the advantages are short-lived. And Major Homes is always responsive to questions and complaints, although I have never had any complaints.

The initial estimate was very detailed. The salesmen Robert spent time to accurately measure the house and went over the different choices for the siding and insulation. Within 2 weeks, the job was started. The workers did a great job. When the patio wood trim was found to be water damaged and the patio roof needed to be replaced, an estimate was given within a day. The quality of the work was amazing. They cleaned up after the job.

I'm taking the time to write because I know when someone is satisfied with a contractor or any service they say nothing, and when they are not, they tell everyone. This brings me to Major Homes. When my wife and I decided to redo the outside of our home we had no idea who to call for our doors, gutters, leaders and trim work. A home improvement store was an option, but I remember in a past project they never showed up for an appointment. After 3 times that was it. I said to my wife "Lets call Major Homes." From the minute I called to the day the project was completed they were on time and followed up with a friendly phone call. The gentlemen that did the work and I mean gentlemen all arrived on schedule and completed the job in a timely manner, they where quiet, neat and cleaned up so well you never knew they were there. I ordered 2 doors for my home site unseen and they are by far better than I expected and the installation was impeccable. I was so happy with the work that with no questions asked I ordered another door for another property I own, again site unseen, above what I expected and installation again impeccable. This is truly a company that is not in business just for the money, but for the love of what they do and they take pride in what they do, this is by far a five star company and I will never call anyone else and will without question give their phone number to everyone. When I decided to do some remodeling in my home, I hoped to find a contractor that would give me quality service and also understand my personal needs. They were excellent! First of all, the salesperson was very low-key, and there was no pressure going into the sale. They showed me a variety of windows in a cheaper price range so I could compare. The work was done correctly, and they were very professional about the whole job.

They were terrific. I interviewed 3 different groups. I ended up thinking that the quote I was going to be getting from this provider would be a little higher, but it was because of quality of windows and the extensive service and careful installation techniques they perform. They did a really great job. When the 2 people came to do the installation, they worked well together and cleaned up well afterward.
