Gary, ripped off  and replaced the entire porch floor of our 100 yr old house on main st.  he carefully removed  and replaced all the railings,  he rebuilt the base of one wood column. he removed and replaced the wood support beam below the floor  and added a moulding trim around the new porch floor . the only thing he did not do was paint. although the toung in groove flooring was primed.
he was prompt, considerate, skilled responsive and did a great job.

Gary is a craftsman who really knows his stuff. He is certainly not inexpensive, but he uses the best materials and takes the time to do an excellent job. He absolutely earns the money he charges. I discussed a few things with him to help limit water penetration into joints and he took the time to make kerf cuts that would then stop surface tension from leading the water into the joints between pieces. The job he did will last a very long time. Gary started the job when he said he would and finished it in a timely manner. He was a total pleasure to work with and I will call him whenever I next need some woodworking done. I highly recommend him, especially if you have an old house with beautiful woodworking.

Gary Hecht Woodworking Inc did a really good job. His prices were average. He was very professional and did good quality work. I will use him again.
