This store is run by two Petes, which I'll call Skinny Pete and Big Pete. I hired these guys to install a frameless glass shower door, which they did for around $2400. After the two man crew (led by Big Pete) left, I noticed a scratch on the top middle part of the door. I called and spoke to Skinny Pete. He asked if the scratch was deep enough for my fingernail to get into, which it was. He told me that it could not be polished out, but no problem, he'd order a new door. Weeks went by. I called again. And again. I was reassured the door was on its way by Skinny Pete. Weeks went by and phone messages went unanswered. Guess what? No door, surprise, surprise. I'm a contractor, too, and I know full well when I scratch a new product, as I'm sure the owner Big Pete knew when he did it. The difference is, I'll stand behind it, even if it means eating my profit. But not Big Pete. Bottom line: find another glass installer if you want honest and competent performance.

We installed Marvin wood windows when we renovated our 1910 house in 1989. Although the wood has remained in good shape over the years, the insulated glass gradually began to admit moisture in spots and some of the panes began to fog up. I investigated replacing them through Marvin and found that the warranty had expired. Buying new window sashes was going to be extremely expensive. A contractor friend suggested that I contact A Touch of Glass to see if they could remove the foggy insulated panes and replace them with new ones. These are 2 over 2 large window sashes with a thin actual wood mullion running vertically-a very tricky job and one that I was sceptical could be done successfully. They seemed confident so I decided to go ahead. After sending someone to measure the panels the glass panels were ordered for three windows. After the panels arrived the windows were removed, taken to their shop, repaired, and returned within a matter of hours. Phenomenal job - the windows didn't even need repainting !

These people just did glass and windows as opposed to the contractors. They were recommended to me by a local contractor that I knew. They did twice as good a job as I was expecting and I would have been happy with the job that I was expecting. So, Iam twice as happy as I am expected to be. I could have replaced the entire window for two and a half times more than what I paid them. I would absolutely use them again in the future but I don't hope to break any window. It took a while to arrange it through no fault of anyone.

THEY WERE VERY EFFICIENT AND KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. THE COMPANY WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DID GREAT WORK ON OUR WINDOWS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS FOR ANY WINDOW WORK.
