The work went very well. There was a minor problem with one of my old storm windows being blown out and falling to the ground during the time when the basic sash windows had been taken to the contractor's shop for restoration. Although the workers denied it, it seems to me that some carelessness must have been involved for this to have happened, and the broken glass was not cleaned up until I reported the problem to the contractor the next day, and even then was not completely cleaned up. On the whole, however, the workers were responsible, friendly and punctual. The contractor did offer to replace the glass in the broken storm window, but I decided to buy new storm windows instead.
All the work done by this contractor is very expensive, but is of extremely high quality. This is important because my house is in a landmarked district. This contractor is extremely well qualified to do restoration work on buildings for which NYC Landmarks Commission rules and guildlines must be applied.
