HURON SPRINKLERS INC

Huron Sprinklers is not listed as a Rochester provider on Angie's List (I presume that is because they are based in Buffalo).  This, I believe, is a big mistake, since they do, in fact, serve the Rochester market and they are an excellent vendor with very competitive prices. 
I worked directly with Tony (the owner) and couldn't be more satisfied.  They came out last fall and installed the system in 2 days.  After they were done, you could hardly tell that any digging had been done.  They came back this Spring to make sure everything was working properly and they system has been excellent.
I would recommend that anyone considering a sprinkler system should contact them for an estimate.  I expect you will be pleased.

Service from Huron was excellent. Communication with the owner (Tony) and office staff was quick and professional. They installed the sprinkler system on the scheduled date and had the job completed on time. The crew was very professional and educated me on the system and how to use everything. I would certainly use them again and give them my highest recommendation.

Fall of 2010 things were fine when we started up the system in May 2011. So we had them winterize again Fall of 2011. In the spring of 2012 we had 3 heads that were broken. So my husband called make an appointment to repair the heads (the woman who scheduled the appointment was rude to my husband). 2 Repairmen arrived, ( one young and the other older). I told them  I was hesitant to have them do the work because I believe that improper winterization caused the heads to break. I would be happy to pay for any repair that was needed but I did not feel I should have to pay for repairs due to improper winterization. The young man called the office to check. He told me that I would be charged regardless. I declined to pay them for a repair that was caused by thier initial service. What impressed me most was the attitude of the young man, very cocky and abrupt, no customer service skilss what so ever!! ("We can fix it no problem!). So I told him that his attitude and the manner in which he addressed me was tottaly unprofessional and rude. He told me that he had been in this business for 10 years! I asked for his name and he told me that he did not have to give me his name. The older gentleman when I looked at him told me that his name was Tyler. So, I called the office again, talked to the woman who answered the phone, told her I wanted to know who Tyler was and also what had happened. Tyler was the owners son, (I figured he was a relative ). She had the owner (Tony) call me back, I told him what had happened, and that I had contacted Better Business Bureau. I also told him that if Tyler was my son, he would be digging ditches for 10 year until he learns how to deal with customers and the meaning of the word RESPECT! Tony did send a different crew to make the needed repairs. His own crew told me that 2 of the 3 were due to improper winterization. I would have paid for the other but did not have to according to the owner. Later that summer, I checked on the Rainbird web site to get my current irrigation system  repairman. I had 2 more broken heads!!! I won't ever deal with Huron Sprinklers again and highly recommend others to do the same.

I contacted Huron because they were a provider my parents had used them for their home and II was a new homeowner. The owner of the company Tony came out and gave us a price. I proceeded with the installation. He came over early the next Sunday asking for a check as spring had been slow and he needed funds to meet payroll. I was taken aback at his unprofessionalism but gave him the check because I was so uncomfortable. His men showed up to install the system. They placed the valve box in my lowest point of the yard insuring they were always under water and difficult to access. My yard was soon very wet leading me to believe I had drainage issues but come to find out after i received a $500 water bill that there were several leaks in the system. They sent a new crew to repair them. This Spring 2013 I again contacted Huron because I needed repairs to the system again. I left several messages, was given several appointments when no one showed up and finally given an estimate over the phone. When I called and finally spoke to Tony directly he told me if I did not like his price Too bad I could contact another company because they loved to steel his customers. I was appalled. I did end up using another company that had an excellent rating on Angie's List and they were great. I also found out that Huron had used recycled parts on my original system as well as parts bought at the big box stores NOT commercial grade parts like they were supposed to use. Huron was AWFUL.

Overall, my experience with them from the planning to installation to maintenance was excellent.

Overall, everything was excellent.  The repair was quick and easy.  The cost was as expeceted.  They got my system backup and running in about an hour and showed me how to adjust the spray patterns myself.  I was appreciative of that above & beyond approach by the reapirman.

They always do a great job and have a very reasonable price.  They are also very punctual, and very accommodating to me as I have a residence in Florida I travel to as well.

They are good.  I would tell people to definitely use them.  I've had them 10 years.  They come when I call and they have a fair price.  I stress the fair price because the cheapest is not always the best.  I try small companies who's owners supervise.  This means a lot because the owner has a stake in it.  He doesn't have to ask anybody.  He can do it, yes or no.

They have been very good. They do have some problems with timing but their office is very responsive. They also do snow plowing. Another company quoted us about $700 for the season and Huron Sprinkler Inc quoted us $350. They have kept their prices reasonable. We are really pleased with their service. For snow plowing they are very responsive.

He is very knowledgeable, professional, punctual. They are responsive when we have issues or problems.
