In my opinion:
Re Hagele did a good job with the overall massing (shape) of the house. He has some taste and is personable. I very much regret that I can't give a better report. He stank on the details. This is ironic because, on his website he says something about attention to detail. When he submitted his final bill I told him that the job wasn't complete and I never heard from him again. Frankly, I think he was ashamed.
I have a window that looks out on an airconditioner. I asked but he said no....it wouldnt be a problem.
I have another window trio that was supposed to have a 6 inch divider between each of the three windows. It didn't, making it harder to divide the room with a wall.. Fall, wrong window and we faced a choice between waiting a long time for the right window or putting it in. He said he would come up with a good plan for dividing the room that would take that problem into account. We never got it.
I have another window that was supposed to match one nearby. It doesn't really.
I have another window that he simply got the wrong size and his solution look bad to me.
I have problems with hot water/electrical that he never resolved..
Ive got a huge draft that he could have addressed while the wall was open but didn't.
He steered me to a contractor who was mediocre at best and I was the one finding problems even though he was supposed to be supervising.
I've probably forgotten some of the details. Would that I could forget them all.
