TWICE AS NICE CONSTRUCTION

I had a few contractors bid on my job to completely gut and renovate my basement, as well as renovate my fireplace with stone ledger.  I had contractors whom ive used before bid on the job, as well as contractors from Angies List that had high reviews.  About three years ago I had some renovations done to my house and Lou (the owner of Twice as Nice) was one of the contractors bidding on the job.  He was highly recommended by my architect at the time.  I ended up using a family member for the job under pressure from my inlaws ( i also ended up firing that family member off the job).  So this time around I called Lou again to bid on the job.   Lou is very punctual - he is always on time and he delivered his bid on time.  His price was very reasonable -  not the cheapest, not the most expensive.  I ended up going with Lou because of his punctuality and on recommendation from my architect.  I also needed the job to start ASAP since my wife was pregnant with our second child and due in 6 weeks.  Lou said he could finish the job in 4 weeks and he stuck to that timeline.   From start to finish he and his workers and subs came on time every morning, were respectful and cleaned up as best as they could every day.  He was very accesible via and phone, email and text and was responsive (usually within the hour). He was organized and we did not experience any delays due to ordering issues.  In the past, one of the worst issues i faced with contractors (both in the residential and commercail setting) was organization and that almost always someone forgot to order something and then we would have to wait long lead times.  Also, he was very organized when it came to having his electricians, plumbers, etc, do their work on the project.  There was absolutely no down time becaue of these things. In the end, I was very happy with the price, the work, and service, and that's alot coming from me.  Highly recommended.
