I hired Moimoi & Odeen to do some major renovations in my home, and I’m glad that I did. Because I suffer from allergies and asthma, I decided to replace my individual window-unit air conditioners with a full central A/C system. I also needed some electrical work redone, as I come to find out that some of the work done by a prior electrician, before I bought my house, was not up to code. Moimoi & Odeen did both of these jobs for me. Their prices were competitive and their work was outstanding. They were courteous and professional, and explained everything to me in advance, even showing me diagrams so that I would understand what would be happening. Whenever you have work done in your house, you can expect some interruption of your normal life, but this company minimized the necessary interruptions whenever possible. They also cleaned up properly after themselves every day, which I know from experience that not all contractors do. Their great work ethic allows them take genuine pride in their work, and satisfaction from making their clients happy. If you need great electricians and or A/C technicians, you can count on Moimoi and Odeen.

My boiler wasn't working on the coldest day this year, so I made an inquiry and got an immediate response. Eric came out, did some troubleshooting, provided a full explanation so I can understand what happened, and how to prevent it in the future. I hired Eric from moimoi & odeen to install an air conditioner on my roof. It ended up being the worst experience ever in hiring someone to do something. On top of changing times and plan multiple times the job is a complete disaster. Let me count the ways. The air flow is completely imbalanced one portion of the house receives all the air almost in a violent way and the other very little at all. When I went to turn the heat on he had disconnected the heating portion of the thermostat so I had to hire another person to hook it up properly. Then a few wks later I discovered the duck work is leaking water into the house not a huge surprise after seeing what a unprofessional job the duct work look like and you could feel air being pushed out in various places. The real crowning blow was when he declared himself finished and wanted the balance . While the thermostats were not hooked up and garbage was lying around everywhere. I asked him to finish the job and I would pay him. At that point he just started screaming at me with everything he had in him. I tried to remain calm and just asked him if he would finish . He kept screaming things that made no sense eventually I became scared and unsure and defeated and just decided to pay him to get him out of my house. I wasn’t sure what to do. In my 25 yrs experience of being a property owner in brooklyn I have never had such a bad experience and months later are still in a state of shock.
