Deep Rooted Woodworking

Work was of very poor quality. Communication was poor. Job was stopped due to lack of trust in contractor’s ability of willingness to correct issues. The job was planned for 8 weeks, incomplete after 8 months. Contractor did not order all required parts before starting. Used lower quality materials than specified in contract. Non matching materials were also used. Wainscoting panels were poorly assembled with large gaps and nail holes visible throughout the work. Some panels were fastened with a single nail into drywall, and kept in place with caulking and paint. Drywall compound was used instead of an appropriate wood filler. Filler was not sanded and visible through paint. Paint heavily applied resulting in drips, runs and heavy orange peel texture. Molding turn-ins not installed. Stain work roughly applied with runs and over staining throughout. Lost trust in contractor. Poor communication throughout. Job remains incomplete.

Ben does extraordinarily beautiful work. Our house is 140 years old and we asked Ben to design something that would fairly with the original woodwork and trim. The bookcase he designed and built looks like it has always been part of the house. It is exceptionally well constructed and it is beautiful. Amazing craftsmanship. Ben made us a custom made vanity. He even incorporated some crystals that I had, Pink Tourmaline and Clevelandite, into the handles on the drawers and other places on the bench. My daughter loves it!

We ordered a custom toy chest for our son. Everything about this piece is absolutely perfect, from the size and finish to the soft close hinges to ensure our little one would be safe. We've had this piece for a few years now and it still looks brand new. I know this is something my son will as he grows up. I highly recommend deep rooted woodworking for any custom builds!

This was a great experience. Ben made a custom desk for me while working at home during the pandemic. Quality is outstanding and is a beautiful piece of heirloom furniture. I was so happy I purchased hand made end tables and coffee tables . They a beautiful addition. Ben is easy to work with and listens to what you want. Great service. Worth every penny.
