Wood Floor New York

My experience with them was good. They did a good job. We had to do most of the clean up after they left but other than that, it was good. They're really flexible about working with schedules. They were accommodating and make the experience much better than it could've been.

Did not show up on day 1. Very unresponsive. The sanding and refinishing of the floor quality actually went well. The stain color was beautiful. However the workmen ran the air conditioners while sanding which obviously caused them to get clogged. I came back to the apartment with the newly sanded floor flooded from the air conditioner condensation. That water left a massive watermark in the middle of the floor. Instead of fixing the stain the workmen continued to seal the floor thereby leaving the stain in the middle of the living room. Not only did I have to pay to have the HVAC units cleaned I have to get the floors redone now. What i mind blowing is that I had to explain to the workmen why having A GIGANTIC water stain in the living room was unacceptable. I am incredibly upset. I fixed one problem and ended up with an equally bad problem. The workmen spoke no english and the office responded to 1 out of every 20 phone calls to the office.

They were great. I got a good deal and good pricing. They were very professional and they were perfect.

We requested bids from two wood flooring companies to polish and seal an old 8'x14' oak floor in our den, and fix our stairs going up to the bedrooms. WoodFloor NY's pricing was competitive and our oak floor looks awesome. The technicians were very professional, hardworking, and polite. We felt we could trust them in our home while we were at work. They started the work on time, and always called us when they had questions. The crew cleaned the oak floor first, then polished and sealed it with polyurethane. The molding was also polished and sealed and its color looks very nice with the floor. We plan to do the same to the kitchen floor. Once we decide that, we will definitely call WoodFloor NY to come back and do some more work for us. They also fixed our stairs. One stair was chipped in the corner so they replaced that piece. Then they refinished it and painted it so you can't see where they replaced that piece of wood. I'm very happy with the results. Reliable and professional company.

They only did 2 out of 4 rooms. The work was done very poorly and the job isn't even done. They didn't scrape the floors as contracted. I have been unable to reach them on the phone.

Wood Floor New York responded promptly to my request for estimate although I did need to call and remind them to submit the estimate to me. Their representative was knowledgeable, and personable. The women in their office were most understanding and responsive maintaining (telephone) contact. Through out the entire process everyone involved with Wood Floor New York was courteous, responsive and highly professional. I highly recommend this company and I will use them again in the future.

Two projects completed and not one negative thing to say! We are extremely happy with our new hardwood floors. Ron walked us through the project from inception to the completion in a very professinal manner throughout the entire project. Great selection, quality of work, terrific installers and just a great service all around. I would highly recommend Wood Floor New York to anyone who wants a job done correctly, professionally & with no surprises! Bravo!

I anticipated a bigger job but Marc and the other professionals who advised me were remarkably straightforward regarding the pitfalls and concerns with the work contemplated. They provided great advice regarding the sanding of my floors, and actually suggested not doing it. They did work on my steps, and did it well. They were on time and worked with me closely to get it done. Most of all I was impressed with their straightforward approach, and used them to paint my apartment as well later on. And would approach them again with any future work.

I hired the company to replace wood floors. I ordered wood from them as well. As I was doing my whole apartment I had to arrange for movers as well as stay at a hotel. The company made representations about dates that were not adhered to. For example, the wood delivery was supposed to take place on a Wed. but did not occur until the following Monday. Everyday I was told that it would be tomorrow or later in the day. Everyday I was given a different excuse. At that point I had already moved my furniture out and it now cost me 3 nights at a hotel. I was assured by the owner (Ben) that he would put extra guys on the job so that it would be finished sooner. Not the case. Most of the time it was only 2 guys and they were very slow. One guy said it was his first job. For 2 days there was only 1 guy on the job Ben is the person who came and did the estimate. He sold me on the Brazilian Cherry wood. There was one room in the apartment that I was not doing work on. I specifically asked him those woods would match. He said yes. when the people came to install the wood they said that the wood colors would not match at all. Furthermore, Ben did not advise me that by installing the flooring, that their would be a height differential to what was installed before. This caused more problems. The work itself is horrible too. The stain is not even. They ripped my closets off the track and have not repaired them. they left all the dust from sanding without cleaning it and installed new base board, but did not paint it. I WOULD NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS USE THESE FOLKS AGAIN!!!!

It went really well. I made the appointment the week prior. The staff of two people showed up on time. They were very friendly and cordial. They let me know exactly what they're going to do that day and how they're going to do it. They went over the prices with me. They offered other services to see if I want to purchase, but I declined at this time. They proceeded to do the job. They were very efficient, worked diligently. I left the house after an hour to go to work, it was a shorter work day for me than usual. I came home from work while they were applying the last coat. Everything looked really good and I was very happy. They gave me a business card and told me that if I had any questions to please call them or if I might have any problems to also call, they will come to take care of it. I am very happy with the service I was provided from Woodfloor NY.

Overall it went well, but the team had a tough time removing a 50-year old carpet. I didn't want the floor installed over it. They were very diligent. They removed the carpet piece by piece and then sanded down the green glue that was underneath the carpet.
