A Heartbreaking Experience at Village Vet We were loyal clients of Village Vet in NYC’s East Village since 2016, when we first brought home our dog, Tobey. It used to be a small, privately-owned clinic with compassionate care. But after it was sold to a corporate entity, the quality drastically declined—especially in Tobey’s final year. In 2024, Tobey’s health started to change, but the vets dismissed our concerns, even when we requested further tests. When Tobey’s symptoms worsened while we were away, a vet still didn’t follow up on our friend’s request for scans. When we returned, Tobey was struggling to breathe. An emergency vet immediately found metastasized cancer in his lungs—something Village Vet had missed for months. After his passing, we received no sympathy from Village Vet, only marketing emails and final bills for appointments where they did nothing to help. This clinic has become a heartless, profit-driven operation. I urge pet owners to reconsider trusting them with their beloved companions.

I have been bringing my dogs there for six months. Their pricing is average. It is a nice place to go with good receptionist and veterinarian services.

Was able to watch them interact with a number of customers. They really love the animals and treat their owners with respect and dignity. Would definately use them again.

I have been taking my pet to Village Veterinarian for six years. I would absolutely recommend them. We go in there every other month. They have an emergency room, 24/7 care. I am going again next week. They specialize in large breed dogs.
