My visit was fantastic. They knew exactly how to explain the procedure to someone who was a bit nervous. They were professional and caring, and I felt like I was in excellent hands the whole time. My procedure was a huge success, and I don't need glasses anymore! I highly recommend Diamond Vision.

Diamond vision was excellent, all the staff was courteous and professional.  First did a consultation to determine if I was a candidate for the surgery, then a pre-op appointment to conduct a series of tests (which included eye dilation...that was fun!).  Then a week later performed the surgery.  The staff was very thorough and they even performed another set of tests even before going through the surgery to be absolutely certain of the procedure that was about to take place.  Even prior to the procedure, the eye surgeon came to me to explain what was going to occur and his assistants explained in detail the care I will need to go through for the next couple of days after the surgery.  The surgery itself was completely, please pardon my pun, in a blink of an eye...probably in about 15 mins.  It was painless and I could see a big improvement in my eyesight almost immediately.
After the surgery, they have been very thorough.  I had a post-op appointment the day after the surgery, and given they saw some inflammation on my right eye, I even went twice before my 1-week appointment, until they felt comfortable that they had my inflammation under control; which is funny because I couldn't feel any different.
I am so happy with my new eyesight, I wish I had decided to undergo this a long time ago.  I totally recommend them!

Had appraisal for Lasik.  Think this was done well and very professional.  My problem was when charged did not have insurance info with me. I called back from home and was given an eemail to send info. No one returned my call or email so they charged my credit card. I heard nothing from them in regards to a follow up for procedure. I went to a different eye doctor.
Response from The Diamond Vision Laser Center
"Sorry that you had this experience with us. I will look into the Insurance information you provided with us. There is a possibility (as well tell all our patients) that your insurance claim may have been denied and that is why you were charged the small fee to your card to cover the eye appointment. The consultation is free to all Angies List Members that come in. But any TREATMENTS that are needed or extensive exams can be charged if not picked up by insurance. But we always inform the patients of these costs before we go ahead and proceed. Thank you for your review and we will continue to better our practice for the future"

Lasix eye correction. I purchased this for my son who was having issues with allergies so he couldn't wear his contacts anymore. He is very happy with the results and with everything concerning his dealings with the office and the procedure.

So far,so good.  I corrected to better than 20/20.  I found the biggest issue with the punctal inserts, would recommend you don't get them if you don't absolutely need them.  Overall the treatment itself took less than 15 minutes, my first follow up was about 5 minutes.

If you are going to get this surgery, for sure wash your hair before you go because you really can't wash it again for five days.

Overall, I have no complaints about Diamond Vision at all except that the price does seem high to me.

I wore contacts and glasses for 25 years. I had LASIK with custom view done last summer at Diamond Vision and it was the best thing I could've ever done for myself. I was in and out of the office in 35 minutes and able to drive after two days. AMAZING! Everyone at the off center site I went to for consultation to the receptionist and assistant in NYC were so kind and comforting. I have 20/20 vision now thanks to everyone at Diamond Vision.

The pre-surgery and planning went as explained. The procedure was done in the time frame expected and the final outcome was very good.
I would recommend Diamond Vision.

Everything has been fine. They were very organized and it didn't take much time for the surgery. Everything was set up by the time I went there. The follow-up visits were much easier with them too.

I disliked the person I had the initial appointment with. He was over "friendly" and familiar and when I expressed concerns about needing to wear reading glasses after the lasik  and thought I would wait he told me I'd have to wear them sometime  anyway so I might as well go ahead and do it now. I felt he dismissed my concerns and I completely lost trust in him and felt he wanted to get the lasik done whatever my concerns. Also, he was not the person who would perform the lasik and it should be the person performing the procedure who looks at your eyes and answers your questions.
Other people may have had no problem but I couldn't let someone I don't trust advise me about a potentially dangerous procedure. I didn't get the lasik at all and am still not wearing reading glasses.

The initial screening and testing was easy and they are very friendly. The timing was fairly open for the actual appointment and the offices in New York are beautiful and easily accessible. The actual procedure took minutes and your companion can watch if they like.
They had a great pile of glasses that you can add yours to at the end. What a great feeling!
In the longer term, drops are still necessary but vision is perfect.

Used Diamond Vision for Lasix in June of 2013.  Very high quality experience and good results.  However, scheduling appointments was always a challenge and twice they called me to cancel follow up appointments

I interacted with at least 7 different employees and was happy with all of them.  My Lasik consultant, Ken, was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.   Receptionists are the same.
Dr Stetson, who performed the procedure, sat with me, as he does with every patient, just before teh procedure to review what would occur during and after.
The female consultant, whose name I don't remember even though I've seen her at least 4 times, walked us through the post-op care in great detail.
When I went in last minute, 3 weeks after surgery, because of a worse than expected discomfort in my right eye, Dr Stein was helpful and did not rush me or dismiss my concern, although my only problem was dryness, which highlighted the slow healing of one tiny portion of teh eye, causing the discomfort.  She explained what was going on & why, clearly and patiently.

Overall I am very happy with the results. The procedure was like clockwork. The staff has obviously done the procedure countless times. It's been almost a year and i have forgotten what life was like with corrective lenses.

I went in initially for a consultation and left with an appointment.  The procedure was fast and the results were amazing.  The only reason I would not go back is that I don't need to!  There are two follow-up appointments after the procedure to check on sight and ensure that there aren't any infections.

Ugly. Receptionist got me. After completing initial paperwork she started talking about somebody else making a mistake when my appointment was taken (I made appointment on-line). Then and after making stupid face gestures indicated the "new company" does not honor the all company guarantee for future enhancements, which by the way it is still on their current website: "Lifetime Diamond Care Guarantee We stand by our results. With Diamond Vision?s Lifetime Diamond Care Guarantee, you get ultimate peace of mind:1- One year of unlimited post-operative follow-up visits. In the first year, we will never charge you if you want to be seen for any reason related to your procedure.2- For the rest of your life, if you ever need an enhancement procedure, it will be offered either for free, or at a low rate agreed in advance ? no surprises! Keep in mind that only doctors can give the green light for an enhancement procedure". She also went into trying to schedule "correct" appointment for me and asked for my insurance carrier, upon giving it to her, I got more gestures, this time negative gestures for the insurance company. I  told her I was not planning to use insurance for this, and she indicated they will not allow that (reject cash!!! smelly no?). At that point I decided not to continue. Just her vibe, made me feel this is not the correct office to put vision on their hands, at least not any more!

It went very well. I am able to see without glasses now and that is so liberating. The staff is very friendly.
My only constructive criticism is that the office respond to questions sent my email. Sometimes they did not respond at all and I had to call the office. The person that gave me my initial consultation said I could email all of my questions. If they truly mean this, they should respond to the emails that are sent. Getting eye surgery is a very serious matter. Answering potential patients questions promptly will make them more inclined to go to that office.

I've worn glasses since I was a child, and the Fall 2012 Angie's List offer (45% off intralase lasik) was a great opportunity to ditch my glasses.  The Diamond Vision experience was excellent, from first consultation to ongoing check-ups.  Though I'd read online other Diamond Vision reviews mentioning that the staff weren't always polite, I found them to be warm and friendly every time.  Also, the visits were brisk and well-paced (I wasn't waiting long), and I appreciated that they called to remind me of my surgery-related appointments in advance. At every step, during and before visits, they do an excellent job of informing you of what to expect.
At the initial consultation, to determine if you're a Lasik candidate, Brad walked me through the surgery, answered my questions, and took the extra time to answer popular questions I hadn't asked.  Perhaps because I was one of the first Angie's List clients, Brad also introduced me to Dr. Stetson, who conducts all Manhattan surgeries.  Dr. Stetson reviewed my test results with me, and explained why my results showed I was a good candidate.  Then, they gave me a folder of instructions to prepare for the surgery and post-operative care, including a prescription for pre-op medications.
On surgery day, a surgeon walks you through the pre-op procedures, and answers questions.  Before the operation, Dr. Stetson sat with each patient, reviewed their eye health and previous test results with them again.  He also told me what to expect in the first few days and months.  Also, they provided me with a few post-op samples to get started (e.g. rewetting drops), and I left.  Though the operation took 15 minutes, expect to spend about 2 hours on the day of surgery.
For my post-surgery exams, I've visited the Paramus, NJ office, which isn't as busy.  They're efficient, but since they usually only have 1 optometrist, it seems like the wait time is a little longer (30 minutes before seeing a Paramus optometrist vs. 10-15 for the Manhattan office).  Nonetheless, I greatly enjoyed my experience with Diamond Vision, and have recommended them to friends already.

I was actually about 10mins late for my initial consultation, but there
was a less than a 5 min. wait once I got there. I saw the technician 1st. He tested my
eyes with various machines answering all my questions. He was kind,
courteous and could tell by his answers that he was very experienced. He answered my questions
completely. Although he was quick I did not feel rushed at all.  I then
saw Bradley the CEO. He was thorough in his explanation and was also
kind and courteous. He informed me about the surgery and pre/post
visits, He also asked if I would like to know the more technical aspects
about my vision and why I was a candidate for the surgery. I have
planned my surgery just after the holidays, so hope all goes well.

First and foremost, Dr. Stetson is uniquely experienced, having done over 60,000 of these surgeries.  He has an extraordinary bedside manner.  He reviews your chart with you, discusses the treatment options and doesn't push "extras".  Having done a large number of these surgeries, he anticipates questions and anxieties.  During the procedure, he explains what is happening,  what you are seeing, and the steps he is taking.   His staff walks through the pre-op and post-op procedures with you several times, recognizing that your  anxiety levels may cause you to fail to remember the instructions.  In addition, written detailed instructions accompany you home.   He ensures that there are on-call doctors to respond to questions and the rare emergency.    You are advised about what you may feel in your eyes post-op.  Knowledge is power so, for example, when you feel that there is an eyelash in your eye, you know ahead of time that this is a common occurrence that dissipates quickly.  They do everything in their power to reduce anxiety levels.
Dr. Stetson's personality filters down through his staff.  They are accommodating and treat each question as if they are hearing it for the first, not the thousandth time.  This is a highly efficient practice but you never feel like just another number.  The environment is patient oriented, attempting to have the patient as comfortable and relaxed as possible.   They perform weekend surgeries so that you minimize any lost work time.
I had the procedure two days ago,  I could see the improvement the next day.  My vision has improved each day.   This procedure is more than cosmetic; it makes a difference in everything you do and how you see the world.
