Temporary Agency/Home Advisor

This was the worst service I have ever had in my house. First, the painter was not an actual painter, he was a temporary worker hired through Home Advisor. He was supposed to be paid when the job was done but I was charged $658.78 which was the full amount. The job was not completed and I am left with a giant mess in both rooms. Not to mention, I paid an additional amount of $178.00 for the paint. Broderick could not estimate the amount of paint to use so he decided to get a 5 gallon bucket of wall paint which is about 2.5 gallons too much. He also left the roller in the paint. I specifically asked for the walls, trim and ceiling to be painted but all I got were the walls. He slopped paint all over my trim and carpet, which I will now have to find someone to paint for an additional cost. I also requested that the furniture be moved and then put back when the job was done. After the 8 hour shift, Broderick said he would be back the following Saturday but never showed. At 70 years old, I am trying to do the work myself but I don't feel very comfortable on a 6 foot ladder. I am also going to have some help putting back my furniture which is extremely heavy. In addition, I also had to have a hole patched in my ceiling which I paid a separate price for and had additional cost for supplies. For some reason they sent two different people to do the work. All in all I have spent an approximate cost of $1500.00. In notifying Home Advisor, the only thing they will do for me is a $200.00 credit towards my next project...... Needless to say, I have totally lost this money with no resolution.
