We've been using it for years and my husband loves it. The price, I think, is reasonable. He likes the great music. You can pick the music that makes you happy. All the paperwork they send is very professional.

I spoke with three individuals within the company and they all hung up on me before the problem was resolved.

Our experience with them is good. They are fine, the people are nice, the service is good and I have no complaints. They give you what you ask for. They do a good job and I would recommend them.

It's a good variety of different types of music, talk radio, sports that's fairly priced. I spend about $100 a year.

They got my name confused with a different subscriber of theirs and now they keep calling me thinking I am him. They also keep interrupting my service because they have me confused with another subscriber. They also don't like when I tell them they have made a mistake. I'll keep using them for now, but if the problems persist I will not.

Last year I was in the system to be notified by mail/email when my account was set to expire. I got a bill, and I paid it. Today, I noticed on my account that I was automatically charged for the services for another year. I decided that I would keep the service for this year, since I did get a discount last year, but it is dis-concerning that I was never notified that I would be automatically charged. Also, I used to receive email notifications about certain things, and that stopped a while go. My email was wrong in the system, and the customer service rep, although pleasant, made it sound as though it was my fault that the email address was wrong. I just wish that there would be one thing in my life that when I sign up for I know what's going to happen the next year. I even asked last year if it would automatically renew and they told me they would send me an email, and read back the correct email address to send it to. Pretty disappointing to find out that a service I thought to be awesome in every way is just the same story as every other service one can sign up for. I give them credit for sucking every dollar they can out of their subscribers, I'm sure the higher-ups are loving it.
Also, the music/sports/comedy all are amazingly better than FM, so once you get Sirius, or any other XM station, it's extremely hard to go back and listen to radio with all of those commercials. Buyer beware--it's a great product, but the integrity of the company is no better than any other corporation you can get yourself wrapped up in.
Automatically renewing people, especially when you don't let them know it's happening, is a miserable business practice. Too bad this whole thing will certainly fall upon deaf ears.

I enjoy having a commercial free radio in my car and it’s so much better than playing commercial radio. I really like it but I’ve been a little dissatisfied with them lately. There is one channel that I listen to and they seem to have done some reprogramming and I’m not happy with it. My overall experience with them has been good though. It is satellite so when we go under the bridge or something like that, the connection stops for a few minutes. There are also few areas where we can’t get reception and I can’t get it in my house. If people really enjoy having commercial free radio and choosing the genre of music that they want to hear, I would recommend Sirius XM to them. When Sirius and XM were separate, I got free web access but when they joined together they got rid of that and I’m now paying for the web access. I’m not happy about that because they got rid of the competition. I think they charge too much for what we get. I have had to call them only a couple of times I have to know my account number to get information. I have to go out to my car and press a button to find out what exactly my account number is. I guess that makes it more secure but it’s kind of a pain.

If you call them and tell them you're cancelling, they always give you a better plan. I like that there are no commercials during the music. I got a good deal. I probably listen to five stations; that's about it. It's just nice not having those stupid ads. If they ever told me that the service was $100, I would get rid of it.

We have used Sirius Radio for like 8 years. It is expensive, but regular radio is terrible. They are far superior to regular radio. It is great anywhere in the country. It is really quite remarkable.

I've been using them since 2007. It is a yearly fee for each connection to our two vehicles. It is a little pricey but once I used it I got hooked on it. It is really good. It was installed in the car when we got it and it was free for six months.

They didn’t treat us well. During the summer it quit working. We really didn’t use that car much anyway. By the time my wife checked into it she realized we had been billed twice, for a whole new lifetime. When I called them they told me that I had cancelled my membership. We had called and asked to be reinstated so they put in a new lifetime membership. They never responded at all. I should have gone to the credit card company but it was six months later when we realized we had been billed twice. I would never use XM again.

As instructed by Sirius' website, I called from the car. The person who answered must have started the job the day before yesterday. He was clueless! Eventually, after providing the same information 3 and 4 times, I thought we were ready to go. He told me to tune the radio to channel 1 and wait 5 to 15 minutes for the signal. So I sat in the car and watched the radio screen flash No Service Available for 25 minutes. I was finished with that initial exercise in futility .
I went inside and called them. I was disconnected twice by the telephony system - whatever you do, don't enter an invalid number or your number is up!
Finally, I managed to enter the correct sequence of prompts and was told by the telephony system, " Due to high call volume your expected wait time is 6 minutes. If you prefer, you can activate your system from our website." Now, that didn't sound like a bad option.
It was a bad option. Again - an exercise in futility.
Neither my auto VIN number nor my radio code would bring up my account. Remember that account set up by the new employee in paragraph 1 above? Right. No account was ever created.
I called back. Again, a 6 minute hold. Which lasted for 30 minutes. Finally Sean answered - thank God for Sean!!
Sean could not find an account for me either (then why had I wasted an hour with the first fool, giving him the information multiple times?). But Sean, clever fellow that he was, succeeded in creating the account and actually stayed on the line while I ran out to the car to turn in on so that the signal could activate the system.
Even with Sean's diligence, it still took an hour to get the radio working.
BTW, we have another car where the Sirius trial had ran out . Sirius sent an email special offer for a half price subscription for a year. As a Christmas gift for my brother I decided to subscribe for that vehicle. They quoted me the price promotional rate which which they then promptly upped by a previously undisclosed "music royalty fee" and also state and local sales tax of more than 15%.
Now I live in Florida and I know that the state sales tax is 6% and we have a county sales tax of 1%. So, by my reckoning, that comes to 7%. The person on the line at Sirius told me that Florida sales tax is one of the highest in the nation [not true, check out California] and that tax rate which he had quoted me is what is in the system at Sirius and that he couldn't change it.
I told him that I understood that he could not change the system. But, I told him I wished to escalate this issue to his manager. I was quickly connected to the manager. The manager told me that Florida has a "Luxury Tax" on satellite radio. I googled it while I had him on the phone and Florida has no kind of Luxury Tax. We have q**** taxes - stamp tax, even, on finance agreements - but Luxury Tax - nope.
I told the manager that I'll take the Sirius service for one year, but will do further research on-line about this supposed Luxury Tax and with my tax accountant if I could not find any substantiation on-line. And then with the Florida Dept of Revenue and the State Attorney General.
Further research disclosed that this is not a Luxury Tax but rather a Communications Services Tax on "telecommunications, cable, direct-to-home satellite, and related services. This definition includes voice, data, audio, video, or any other information or signals, including cable services, transmitted by any medium." [FL Dept Revenue website] The rate for my county of the combined state sales tax, county sales tax and Communications Services Tax is, per the FL Dept of Revenue web site, 12.82%.
The rate that Sirius quoted was 15.3%. A chump change overcharge of about $5 for an individual subscription. But a very material amount which Sirius can simply pocket when they remit the correct amount to the state of Florida.
If Sirius has one million subscribers in Florida paying an annual $200 per subscription and Sirius overcharges by that 2.48% which they quoted me, Sirius has collected almost $5,000,000 - five million dollars - which the state of Florida will not see and which Sirius gets to pocket fraudulently.
Not a bad day's work for a little dirty dealing.

For their music channels, their playlists are not very deep, and consequently, their music is very repetitive - especially if you listen to the same couple of channels all the time, which I did. You literally hear the same songs in the same order quite often. It's like creating a playlist of about 100 songs on your MP3 player, shuffling them, and repeating them ad nauseum. Also, the quality of their music is not that good. I had to buy a $100 aerial antenna and mount it on my roof in order to get a decent, drift-free signal.
Initially, my goal was to find a way to have portability in satellite radio, and I bought several very expensive "portable" radios. I soon discovered that Sirius XM's attempts to promote and market portability was nothing more than a red herring. Despite pouring hundreds into it, I was never able to achieve satisfactory results in terms of portable listening. There's too much signal drift, and you literally have to freeze like a statue while holding the antenna up in the air above your head - in other words, strike a pose like the statue of liberty and hold it, if you expect to get a good signal. This technology will likely improve, but as of 2010 it was still not good
The advent of Internet radio was a critical factor in my decision to cancel my satellite radio subscription. Using my tablet computer, I can enjoy excellent, drift-free music and programming using services such as Shoutcast, TuneIn, Pandora, etc. In my opinion, the growth of Internet radio has basically eliminated most of the reasons for subscribing to satellite radio. Unless you must have access to radio programming that is available nowhere else, I don't see the need for Sirius XM.
Another big minus about Sirius XM is that originally some of their radio units allowed virtually unlimited recording of programming. I owned a unit that was capable of recording up to 40 hours of music for later listening. Unfortunately, this capability was eliminated a few years back, and now Sirius XM only allows the recording of about 8 hours of programming due to restrictions placed on them by the music licensing services. Since I mainly listened to recorded programming, this was a big negative for me.
Finally, listening to most of their channels online was a free feature for subscribers, but recently, they instituted a fee ($3 a month extra) for their subscribers to access satellite radio via Internet. I hated this fee. They also started charging an additional fee, above and beyond the cost of subscription, for music licensing.
For the past year, I've found myself mainly listening to Internet radio and consequently had no further need to continue my Sirius XM subscription.

Badly...they have a scorched earth policy...take no prisoners... they do not care if you buy their service or not because no one else has satellite radio for sale... do business with us or go without...

They continually billed me even after I tried to cancel many times. They wanted to bill me forever. The only way I ended my membership was to cancel my credit card.

I will never in the future do business with XM Satellite Radio or the SIRIUS Corporation for any product. XM Satellite Radio is trying to steal my money and their customer service can?t or won?t resolve the problem. They are very good a letting someone else deal with the problem by dropping my calls. My 2010 Prius has a Satellite Radio & Navigation System. On December 2, 2009, before the trial period of the Satellite Radio expired I logged onto the XM Satellite Radio website and signed up for 3 years of traffic data service for $91.96. In January I noticed that I was no longer getting traffic data on my navigation system. My wife and I are very busy so it was not until February 8, 2010 that my wife called XM Satellite customer service. We eventually got through to Jeffery (confirmation # 1-63CRCJ9) who said he fixed the problem, extended our 3 years to April 9, 2013 and gave my wife step by step instructions to get the system working again in my car. But still no service. I called tech support 2 days later. He found Jeffery?s work in the computer, fixed an error and 20 minutes later my car has traffic data. The only problem was when I got my Credit Card Bill. On Feb. 8, the day we talked to Jeffery, my original $91.96 payment was refunded. On Feb 10, the day the techie actually turned on the service, I was charged $253.79. I called XM Satellite customer service 4 times. The first time the computer hung up before I got a person. The next 3 calls ended with ?I need to transfer you?. After 10 -30 minutes on hold their system hung up on me. I have disputed the charges with my credit card company but it will be up to 60 days before I get a response. To add insult to injury, the data Sirus provides is a small subset of what my I-phone receives as part of the AT&T basic data plan.

I called to change my bank debit card billing information with their customer service (outsourced), no problem. My monthly fee came out of account yesterday, with 2 surprised unknown unauthorized charges of $144 and $53, which ended up overdrawing my checking account. When I reached their customer service, it took almost an hour to finally get a proposed resolution, it was determined as I was told that these outsourced workers have a habit of NOT clearing the history cache of their previous customer, resulting in the next customer's charges mistakenly being placed on the previous (ME)! I was assured I'd receive a confirmation email and a refund, 36 hours later, neither, and I've accrued more NSF's as a result. Today when I called it was total frustration, even accused by the broken English worker that it was impossible to be fraudulent because a 3-digit back of card code was given. After this accusation, I hung up in frustration.

Overall, this has been a very negative experience. I don't think that it is very customer friendly to have them automatically take money out of my account with out a warning. I would have appreciated either an email or a bill. I just wanted to warn members about this company- they will automatically withdraw money out of the account without warning- make sure you understand the policies. When we signed up for it, I don't even remember them mentioning the automatic renewal.
