At first Scanio seems like a decent moving comapny. After they have your signed contract, watch out. Crew is very quick to tell client that owner,Nir, pays a wage of $10.00 per hour but the guys can expect to "make it up" in client tips. On an approximately $20,000 move Nir suggested that a $4,000 tip was in order. He even called me to inform me my tip was inadequate. He demanded that I send more. We did get bullied into a $4,000 tip. After delivering over 300 items, an overwhelming number to actually count, I discovered that three (and who knows just how many more) boxes were missing. One would have been marked kitchen and contained all our drinking glasses. Another marked office and would have contained, among other things, a defibrillator! !Lastly, one would have been marked laundry room and would have contained jewelry making supplies, tools and beads. I was told to submit a claim for the items. After several months, I called Scanio to ask about claim decision. I was told that claim was rejected. Nir never mentioned that I should have taken extra insurance. Is Scanio not bonded and insured for just such mishaps?I feel that Scanio is negligent when it comes to claims and I urge anyone looking for a mover to beware. ....There must be an honest mover out there...do not use Scanio
