I was very happy with Jeff's assessment of my unit and the work that needed to be done. He told me stories of his long time in this business, and showed me various photos on his iPad of completed work he has done. He was also good in telling me what to stick to for good resale value and seemed to know the real estate market well. He knew what plumbing and electrical work needed to be done, and also emphasized hiding wires, getting the right electrical panels etc. for a sophisticated finish. I fully recommend Jeff and Prime Renovations for your next project if you're looking for a no-nonsense approach and want an honest and candid contracting team in your home.

It is a contracting company. He is a fair contractor and gets me the fairest price. He is a good and pleasant person. He communicates well. I would rate him highly across the board. I would use him again in the future.

I had Emailed Jeff for an estimate on a place that I just purchased after seeing his postings on Streeteasy, and am closing on end of June. I'm sure he's a nice enough guy, but is too casual for me - not sure if this job was too small, or he's too busy. Prior to the estimate, it took him a week to write back regarding a general estimate, and a reminder EMail to write back. We set up a time (the -only- time that would fit in the schedule with the other real estate brokers, appraiser, etc to get access to the place, which I had made abdundantly clear), and he confirmed about a week before. The night before, at 8pm through EMail, he cancelled just stating that if the other contractors were too high in price he'd be happy to reschedule -- !! -- what a pain -- the whole point is to get 2-3 estimates. In his defense, it is dicey dealing with properties which haven't closed yet. I received some pretty sarcastic Emails back-and-forth, which I really don't appreciate, and was the most dissapointed by.. just a waste of my time, afterwhich he withdrew completely, letting me know he'd 'pass' on the opportunity. Can't give any substantial review of the quality or price of his work, obviously.

I bought a condo that had not been renovated since it was built in the late 80's. I interviewed 4 contractors and was impressed by Jeff Streich, the owner of Prime Renovations. He seemed very knowledgeable and trust worthy. I reached out to him because I saw that he was very helpful on the message boards of streeteasy.com in answering questions regarding apartment renovations. Although I did not have a recommendation from someone I knew to use Prime Renovations, I went with my gut instincts to hire Jeff. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. He was honest, punctual, detail oriented and came in within budget. He finished my job in the time frame that he promised and even worked on the day after Thanksgiving. When I told him I had closed on my condo and was ready to start renovating, he said: Congratulations on the apartment, now let's make it your home. He delivered in every respect. I told a friend what a great experience I had with my renovations and he suggested that I recommend Prime Renovations to my friends and colleagues looking to do renovations, not as a favor to Jeff, but as a favor to my friends and colleagues.
