Photo Tech Repair Service

It worked well for almost 6 months, then it started having the same problem, so I took it back under warranty. They refused to honor their warranty and asked me to pay for the repair that they botched again. I was frustrated.

Great. Easy to deal with. Gave me a free lens cap as I had lost mine.

. I have used them for years. (Try Calumet for professional "film" camera service.) Photo Tech will calibrate your auto focus and exposure sensors, clean your camera, etc. - like getting an alignment for your car. This visit was to repair a Nikon D90 + 2 lenses damaged in a fall. All three each required several replaced parts and recalibration. The work was completed ahead of schedule, 5 day turnaround. Importantly, they can be trusted to be honest about needed service.

They were fine and are a Nikon authorized service shop. The people and everyone there was nice. The price was high, but I expected that. I wish it was lower but I don't think I would find it lower. They're not far from here and I stopped by and made sure that they could fix the equipment although I checked online first. They said they could fix it and gave me an estimate and after a few days I dropped the camera and lens off. They took a look and said it was fine and wrote up a contract and told me to pick it up in two weeks and I did. They guy I spoke with was definitely knowledgeable, but it's a professional shop so I wouldn't expect any worse. I would use them again for something serious, but right now you can just send everything to Nikon and I would just prefer to do that.

I use them on a regular basis. They are professional, they know what they are doing, and they are very efficient.

I would highly recommend them. I did not spend anything and this is one of the reasons why I respect them. They told me that what was wrong in the camera, was actually a defect in the camera and I should take it to the manufacturer. They did not really fix anything for me but they gave me an estimate. The guy honestly said I should not have to pay for it because it was a defect in the camera. I am a professional photographer so I know a lot of people go to them. They have an excellent the reputation and they are very qualified. The experience I had tells me that they were quite honest.
