Perianth Interior Design

I was at first very hesitant in hiring a interior decorator, for my new apartment, but after trying to do it myself and being overwhelmed I knew I needed help.  And I'm really glad that I did because working with was an awesome experience.

Going in I had a general idea of what I was going for but was trying to figure out where to start and was, for the most part, really unfocused.  She started off by asking me questions about  what I wanted with the space and what my style was.  After which she took some time to do some measurements.  After that we were able to , step by step, layout the my living room and I loved the concept same up with for it.  She was a very good listener and very attuned to what style I was going for.  She had no problem if I didn't really like a particular idea she was pitching and was happy to explore other avenues and concepts.
Before the meeting with Hilary I was very confused and overwhelmed but after, I was really able to flesh out exactly what I wanted,
she gave me great notes on what we discussed, a sketch layout that was easy to follow and a general list of idea/products from vendors that might be selling what I want.  It was so easy and so great!
I was very pleased with meeting with Hilary and would definitely recommend her for anyone else that might need some tips in decorating their home!

This has been an incredible experience. My husband and I decided to redo our entire apartment after many years. We started with a By My Eye consultation.  After that first meeting we decided to continue to work with Hilary all the way.  We knew the look we wanted to achieve but had no idea where to begin or how to choose the correct size of the furniture pieces..
     Hilary Ungar has helped us to achieve our vision exactly as we imagined.  She immediately understood our style and what we wanted to achieve.  Her creativity and "eye" has redisigned a tiny office into a highly  functional, attractive space .
      We are still working on final finishing details for all  other rooms and Hilary has introduced us to a contractor to build and complete her visions 
.      In addiition , she is patient, prompt and accomodating.  We find her fees to be reasonable for the time and effort she puts into her work.
       We truly enjoy our meetings, her follow up notes and willingness to research something I find and ask her to look into it and price. She researched and suggested places for us to shop around.
        I could go on but it is difficult to put into words what Hilary has accomplished to bring our dream home to reality. 

Overall it went pretty well. We used some of Ms. Unger's suggestions. She obviously knows her business. The one thing I would recommend for Ms. Unger in the future is to follow up with her clients. This is for both Ms. Unger's and the client's benefit. Ms. Unger would potentially get more business and the client would feel more satisfied.

Called her on a Thursday, she was at our apartment early the following week.  Helpful on-site consultation and useful to have her drawings.  We did not follow all of her advice about particular pieces, but did follow her general concept, which served us well.  Great to have the option of continuing to use her interior design service for an hourly rate following the buy my eye consultation. but this was a bit on the pricy side for us.    

Hilary herself is extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable.  In addition to helping us plan a furniture layout for our apartment, she provided many useful, practical tips for our space.  She was generous with her time and did not charge us to look into several of our follow-up questions.  Overall, a great experience!

During this time Hilary helped us come up with a color scheme, furniture
placement, window treatment ideas, and gave us references for a sleep
sofa we planned to buy.  She sent us a detailed report of the
proceedings within 24 hours.  Hilary is a ball of fire:  energetic,
competent and creative.  Now that this stage of the project is complete,
we see that her ideas have worked well.  We plan to consult her when we
move to the next stage--picking upholstery fabrics, rugs, and window
treatments.

While you can use her more basic "Buy My Eye" service, we chose to go the full-service route, and were very, very pleased. Hilary and her staff are professionals, and pay attention to detail as if it were their own home they were working on. Highly recommended.

It went very well and she followed up with a detailed report on where to get certain items.  She was a pleasure to work with.

Hillary was very thorough and creative in her suggestions. She did drawings for us and walked us through paint colors, and furniture placement. We adopted her suggestions for opening up an awkwardly configured 1980s style apt and now have a beautiful, sun-filled, serene, loft- like space that is the envy of all who see it. She spent a lot of time with us and was very professional. My husband and I found the concept of renting out a designer's "eye" for guidance rather than a full blown interior decorating job was exactly what we needed. We were very pleased with the work Hillary did for us.

I'd never used an interior designer before. Hilary's high-end service, Perianth, is fantastic (I've seen her work in other homes) but way beyond my budget, so I instead chose her less intensive service, Buy My Eye. I was completely blown away by how professional, thorough and detailed Hilary was. This was way more than I had expected, and we accomplished everything I'd wanted to (and a few things I ran past her on a whim as we were walking past other areas) in just 3 hours! She was and is incredibly responsive (I e-mailed her questions that came up after she left and she got right back to me). It was an incredibly positive experience.
