OB1 came to our apartment and analyzed the situation thoroughly. We have a two level apartment so it can be challenging to get a good reach on a wireless network. They considered a wired network, but after discussions we both realized it would be too cumbersome (wires behind walls) to install. They then recommended a wireless mesh network which we installed. The 4 units sit on the floor and are not intrusive - 8” high or so. So far so good with speeds in the 25-70 MBS range consistently. They arrived on time for all appointments and did a good job they also hooked up all our existing devices to the new network . Only suggestion - make sure to be clear about pricing on visits where they evaluate your project in order to provide an estimate. They typically charge for estimates and you may not realize that. In the end the owner - Peter- was fair.

It went very well. Despite all of the unexpected difficulties encountered due to my apartment's layout and the particulars of my situation, OB1 persevered in finding the right solution in a timely manner. They even found ways to correct the haphazard work done by the cable company and hide the many unattractive visible wires. Peter O'Brien and his entire team were professional, pleasant, and committed to solving my issue. It would be a pleasure to recommend them.

As always the experience went well. OB1 has been my family's computer support company since the company opened. Every computer-related question we have ever had has been answered by the team at OB1. Peter and his team stay on top of all the new technologies so that we don't have to. Then over the years we've gone to them whenever we've needed to upgrade, expand, or solve a problem whether it is a new laptop, iPad, backup system, external hard drive, cell phone, wireless network, security, television, sound system or much more. They listen patiently and make some suggestions. Then once we decide, they do what is necessary to make it all work together. I recommend them highly!

A blogger since 2006, I first worked with Peter and his team about 5 years ago, when they helped me take my site from blogger to wordpress, a complicated process given the years of content I had already created. Since then they have maintained my site, seeing me through several unforseen crashes, and even a server migration with minimal blog downtime. It seems I always have a blog emergency (usually something I caused by uploading a new widget or two to the site) on holiday weekends, and Peter and his team respond rapidly without making me feel like I am bothering them or asking too much.
Peter also helped me with my home wireless, suggesting a solution that worked for me and for my budget.
He is forthright and honest, and I trust him implicitly.

I've know Peter for quite some time. He has helped me set up my office, including computers and
phones. He has worked with me in setting up new computers as needed.
Peter also works with me on correcting and printing photos. He has a great eye. He is
always, on time, professional and I trust him very much.
I would highly recommend using him for any of your tech needs. In fact, my sister and some
friends use Peter now as well.

OB1has supported our investment firm for more than 15 years, they have always been very responsive and thorough. They also dismantled all of our computers and servers when we moved offices around 12 years ago and set up our entire system in our new location and all went very smoothly.
They designed and installed our network, and servers, Firewalls and supported our
desktop computers in two locations.
They have kept us up and running with almost no downtime and no data loss, despite the fact that we are a windows based business and in an area where the electrical service is very dependent on the weather.
They remotely manage all of our computers, servers and Workstations.
We are very happy to have them on our team, and would highly recommend them to
anyone that needs technical assistance and support.
I have also used them in my home where they set up a family network and wireless system. They also took the time to explain what they were doing and how it all worked in a way that my kids understood (that was the easy part) and that my wife and I also understood (believe me that was the hard part).

needs. He will personally pick up items, drop them off, make home visits. After the job has been completed I have called him with

They collected all of the info pictures etc from all of our devices and consolidated them into one big data store, then setup sharing and made it so that each device had access to the info that we wanted . .also they tuned up and cleaned out our computers which are running smoothly now ..

Installation was very smooth and took the 2 hours that were estimated. The technician had some issues with our Internet, which he worked out with our provider (RCN). The system is working well now, and the tech cleaned up my Apple notebook while he was setting up my access to the system. We have used OB1 for a few things so far and had very positive experiences. One PC laptop, One Mac Laptop, and the Baby Cam .. We also did a Baby Website for our new daughter, which is making it a lot easier to share our pics etc.. and allows us to NEVER have to change her Email address Ever . .Pretty Nice .. Our Baby's site is LoganOBrien.net

It was a great experience. I was really upset when my computer went south. I still had internet access so I quickly went to Angie's List and started looking. I saw OB1 with 1 positive review & a local phone number (212-766-4621). Best call I ever made. My call was answered immediately (by a person!) & a return call from their technician was promised. He called me soon after and we scheduled an online fix-it session. The virus proved really intractable and we agreed to another session. We had to reschedule once due to schedules but at every contact, I reached a real person quickly and all calls were returned ASAP (he had also given me his cell # which he answered each time I called). The second session took longer than we had anticipated but the diligence and hard work of their technician finally paid off & the virus was removed. The technician willingly stayed on the phone with me while we checked several areas for functionality and went beyond the call of duty to assist when some software had to be reloaded. When all was said and done, I have only high praise for this outfit. Phones were answered by a person! Everyone I dealt with was professional, polite, friendly, competent and ACCESSIBLE. Even when frustrated (it took a long time to kill this virus), the technician was polite and focused. At the finish, the charge was actually less than what it might have been had really stuck to the clock (I was quoted $125/hr but was charged nowhere near that for the time we spent). When my computer has its next glitch (and we all know it will), they will be my first call. As someone who has been on the phone with Dell computer service many times, this transaction was like a vacation at the beach. Haven't had such a positive repair experience in years. For the record: Owner-Peter O'Brien and the technician helping me-Tony Esper. I'd happily take either or both out for a drink.

The company scheduled the appointment, the technician showed up within 15 Minutes of our scheduled time. He was polite, professional and well dressed. We discussed my initial complaints, and addressed those first, adding some others as we went. The technician was effective and we resolved the issues that were on the list, so I would say it was a smooth experience
