It was a special. It was considerable discount. He came to my house and he seemed nice. He offered to pursue things that he found wrong with my computer instead of figuring out exactly what I wanted. Then, our hour was up, but he was fine. I think computers are a drag and that’s not his fault!

I did not like the service as I thought they would come to my home and they did the service over the internet. I did not get everything done that was needed.

It was hard to get in touch with him to make an appointment, but when I finally did, he came when promised. He was very friendly, very professional and very knowledgeable. He transferred some of my data from my old computer to the other one, and showed me how to do the rest of the time-consuming transfer on my own. He (of course) accepted my coupon, and he charged very reasonably for the remainder of the time he spent. He left me fully satisfied with his services. However, within a day or so, the computer was completely shut down by ransomeware that allowed only the blue screen of death to show. I don't know if that could have been prevented if he had installed anti-malware programs, so I don't think it would be fair to fault him for it. Anyway, I was able to switch back to my old computer, so I was not crippled (until it died of old age--nothing at all to do with these services!). I did call him to come and rid me of the ransomware, but he was not available. I eventually called someone else, who came very promptly and fixed the problem.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it went well. I would recommend them.

It worked out fine and the guy did what he said he would do. However, what became very clear was that he was going to be here longer than one hour. I called him because I thought I had a virus. He determined that I did not have a virus and installed a virus software. I felt blindsided that he was here beyond an hour and I had to pay additional fees.

The work took a long time and, since I had other unrelated problems with Microsoft, I found out that there was corruption in the operating system. He worked until he solved the Outlook problem I had presented to him. He charged me the bargain rate, even though he gave me more time.
The corruption in the system was not within the scope of his work - it took Microsoft two days to figure it out.
I will definitely hire him again.

Unfortunately the technician is a PC person and I have a Mac computer. This was a big handicap for him.
I felt he was fishing for he solutions and that took a lot of time.
He did however give me hints on organizing the files on my desk top.
I am not opting to sharing this review with others. For I feel he is good at what he does but has very limited experience with a Mac even though I have Microsoft applications.
I felt he could have been more responsive to my initial efforts to set up a time for us to meet. Angies's staff had to assist me over this.
In instances where he could not find a solution he promised to research the issue and email me the solution. I have not heard from him.
On the who;e O felt he did not have his heart in the situation!

My three year-old PC became infected with trojans that rendered programs that I frequent unusable. Nycitech was recommended by a friend of mine.
I was truly impressed with the speed, courtesy, professionalism, low price and quality of the service. And the cost was probably 1/4 of what Geek Squad said they would charge me --- and I would have to wait five days.
I'd recommend Nycitech to anyone in the NYC area.
Count me a big fan!
