Locksmith Service
Called Mr. Locks at 1am on 1/2/08 when I arrived home and couldn't turn my key in the lock. Someone came within 30 minutes or so, a nice, friendly young man who removed the lock, opened the door, and tried to fix the problem. He spent a long time, over 40 minutes, installing a new lock. In the end, he told me that there was a screw inside the lock that was broken, so that it couldn't be fixed. He told me that the whole lock would have to be changed, but that the new cylinder he installed could be used when I someday got the whole lock replaced. So for now, I can only use the lock by holding it in place while I put in the key and turn it. $250 seems like a lot of money to still end up with a broken lock in the end.

Forgot keys inside apartment. I asked a neighbor to print out a couple of locksmiths in the area, and started calling. "Mr. Locks" quoted $45 to open the door and will send a tech out immediately. An hour and forty five minutes later the tech showed and said that this is a special lock and that the fee would be $140. Take it or leave it. The door was opened in 20 seconds.
