In our case, the only complain was for the night nursery staff in the second day, as they didn?t provide all the support and assistance my wife required taking too long to be in the room to help with medicine and feeding the baby.

BUT FOUND IT SOMEWHAT DIFFICULT TO GET VISIT SUMMARIES AND PROGRESS NOTES
My father uses this facility, as did my mother o.b.m., and my father had his aortic valve replacement surgery when he was 90 years old. Dr. Paul Stelzer did the surgery. My father had total confidence in him, and the surgery was a complete success. Now, at 92, my father is arranging a trip with me (I'll be driving, of course) to Virginia Beach to see family.
My initial examination was very thorough. The paperwork was lengthy, but there was assistance at every level. I was assigned to a doctor, who gave me the exam, and she had a technician take blood and urine, and I had an EKG. I was scheduled for a mamography and other tests. For the cataract surgery: I was sent for several exams, including for the retina. Very modern. I was able to see the color photos of my eye. This took a few visits. The wait time is long from the time you sign in at the reception area until someone actually sees you. Again, paperwork. There is a long wait time, as well, because of dilation and color tinting of the eye. The surgery was performed by Dr. Jacquelin R. Busingye: It was the removal of a solid cataract and replacement of the lens. The surgery was a success, and I have clear, sharp and full peripheral vision.
The various specialists of the hospital each have their own facilities. The staff and doctors are USUALLY very nice, but unlike the area for geriatrics, sometimes they are very busy and could be a bit abrupt. Maybe I just have to learn to keep my mouth shut, but then I'm old. :) On the whole, though, the staff is very nice. When making appointments, you have to be on top of them, or you might get the wrong day or time. Just be sure they repeat it to you when all is done. Billing is very nice, and they make every effort to assist you through the Medicare and other insurance programs, usually handling these different programs once you give them your information. Each specialty section will ask to see your Social Security card, the other service provider card (Blue Cross, etc.), and a photo ID (driver's license). Thumb prints and blood samples are not required. The next time you go to that area, everything is fine.
The medical staff is very efficient. Before taking tests, they always ask for your name and date of birth, and a third question.
Rather than take the train (I'm not even sure which one, but I'm sure the stops are close by), I use the BxM 3 express bus from the Bronx, which lets me off a few blocks away. Returning, I take the BxM 3 express bus again on 99th St. and Madison Avenue - just across the street - practically door to door. Driving a car is not recommended at all! If you cannot use the train or bus, or if you are in a hurry, use a taxi.
I hope this helps.

Dr. Hall is one of the top in the field. He takes the time to explain things and answer your questions.
I highly recommend him.
surgery, I think it would be more appropriate under the circumstances if he were to give me an explanation of why he proceeded without reading my stats.
I wrote to the patient's advocate office but all they did was whitewash him and advised me to make another trip to the city to speak to him and the department chairman. I saw no purpose to that. I feel as chairman of the medical school department of gyn, he
spent more effort joking and playing for his students than he gave to my problems At this point I could never recommend him let alone go back for more abuse. I need help and explanations to deal with the constant irritation and bleeding from the latex product, not jokes and a cold shoulder.
