MCMAID

The workers came on time and did a satisfactory job. But despite our telling them only to pull the door shut behind them, they took it upon themselves to flip the switch on an old broken lock on the apartment door, leaving me locked out of my apartment. No one from McMaid called me to let me know they would be locking me out. When I realized I was locked out, I called their emergency telephone number three times but never received a call back. A locksmith cost me $260. I asked McMaid to cover part of the cost of the locksmith, but they rudely refused, telling me it was my own fault and problem. Also, they quoted me a price at the start of the job: $360. After they began working, they said they'd need more time, upping the price to $405. Seems like a sneaky way to get more money out of me.
