Management was responsive, but the installation was terrible.  They came back twice in an effort to repair it and we finally gave up.  Planks became constantly loose.

As a result of damage from Hurricane Sandi, we had our floors replaced and used someone from your list who did an excellent job at less cost and we've had no problems since.  

It went fantastic.  Team was quick, quality was exceeding standards.  A year after the installation everything is perfect.

The store is not fancy but Anna was helpful and I believe the price was fair. We live in a co-op so we needed insurance certification before the installation could take place. This took a couple of calls but everything worked out. The installers were very polite, neat, and expedient. Overall a most satisfactory experience.

They have great service, the pricing is great, the owner of the company actually comes to your home. It's really great, they have competitive pricing, fantastic service, it's really topnotch. The price was just about the best of all the prices we got in comparison to the quality. I plan to use them again in the fall for a carpet project on the second floor of the house.

The salesfolks at Manhattan Carpeting are very knowledgeable and friendly. Pricing is competitive with other upscale flooring providers. The selection, pricing, measuring and sales process was terrific.
However, the subcontractors used for flooring installation should be avoided. The carpet installers showed up several hours late for the scheduled appointment time (with no call), but were efficient and polite once the job started. Fast forward one year and the carpeting still looks great, but it is coming up at several edges and needs fastening. The wood flooring installation however was a complete debacle. The foreman was late everyday and failed to show up at all on one day with no notice or phone call. A 2 to 2 1/2 day job as quoted was stretched to 6 days due to inactive days and the limited number of hours per day he worked. The flooring has gaps big enough for dirt to fall between the crevices. The workman, despite repeated pleas to get his hands off the newly painted walls, refused to listen and left hand prints everywhere. He banged, marked and scuffed all of the walls without a care, requiring repainting of the freshly skim-coated and painted walls. The wood leading up to the saddles (edges) was laid crooked, requiring my contractor to use a saw and level the the edges to allow the saddles to be installed.
I would not hesitate to purchase carpeting or flooring from Manhattan Carpets but I would not let their hardwood installers near my home.

My architect selected this company (and contractor worked along side) to install carpeting in our apartment's modest master bedroom and walk-in closet during a renovation in 2007/2008. Re-stretching the carpet is a service the company provides at no charge. I called to schedule because, well, it was needed in a few areas. After sorting some confusion about location (it was in my architect's name who had done a few projects with them) we agreed to a date and time for service. That date and time came and went with no call. I called to get the scoop and was told they called the architect to inform of the cancellation instead of me. I didn't expect an apology and didn't get one, but was told they'd call me that evening or the next day to reschedule. That evening and the next day came and went. I called again and was told they had time today. I agreed, got an apology, they came and were done in 45 minutes. Although hidden, one six inch edge couldn't be perfectly tucked due to a spacing issue during the installation of the carpet and baseboard. I took the explanation even without a solution. My takeaway is that these fine folks are honest and stand behind their work, but not ultimately concerned about my personal satisfaction. The service was fair to good but I'll choose a more proactive company for the house I need to carpet. My architect will continue to use them, though.

JR handled my project. He, his son, Chris, and their staff did a beautiful job. It was expensive, but well worth it. They cleaned up after the work was done. I definitely recommend them highly.

THEY WERE HORRIBLE. THEY INSTALLED THE WRONG COLOR OF CARPET SO THEY HAD TO COME BACK AND FIX IT. I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THEM AND THE EXPERIENCE WAS A NIGHTMARE. THE PRICE WAS FAIR, THOUGH.

THIS COMPANY SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE ONES TO DO THE CARPETS. THEY DID A EXCELLENT JOB. I WAS REALLY PLEASED WITH THE WORKERS. THEY EVEN COME BY TO CHECK ON THE FLOORING. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

WE HAVE USED THIS COMPANY BEFORE. WE ENJOY THEIR WORK. THEY ARE VERY POLITE AND THEY ALWAYS SHOW UP EARLIER THAN SCHEDULED. WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

THIS COMPANY IS VERY COMPETITIVE IN PRICE AND QUALITY OF WORK THEY DO. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL IN ASSISTING ME IN CHOOSING THE CARPET. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND THEY DID A GOOD JOB INSTALLING ALL OF THE CARPET.
