The consultation was very professional, with helpful suggestions from the representative, Connie. I received an estimate very soon thereafter, and then visited the office to examine the drawings. The work was scheduled about 2 weeks later. The two workers were completely professional and completed the job in about 6-7 hours on the same day. Although I was surprised at first at the price quote, the quality of the work definitely adds value to the apartment. I especially like the lights that were installed under the lowest shelf, which eliminates the need for desk lamps! Great experience overall!

My husband created a rough sketch and after some considerable research we decided to visit Manhattan Cabinetry. We met with Mark Barbosa in late October 2011 and he immediately went to work sketching the workstation. Over the next couple of weeks we went through a few iterations and we finally signed off on the final draft, with delivery set for late January (appox. 8-10 weeks). Once work began at their workshop in Long Island City they discovered that the original design that called for the computer (27" iMac) to be mounted on a hinged flip up would not work because it was too heavy and would most likely slam and break fairly easily. Their solution was for a mechanical lift that could be raised when in use and lowered when not in use butbalsams slightly taken aback by the added expense. Mark agreed to install the lift at cost and work proceeded. We were invited to the shop to see the work in process and we were blown away by their craftsmanship and attention to detail. To our delight MC finished the desk a whole month early and I have enjoyed the desk everyday since!

They do a great job. You get what you pay for. They worked with my wife on the design and everything came out great. I would definitely recommend them. We spent lots of money on an interior designer before we found this company. I wish we had known about them sooner.
