The living room furniture was moved to the edges of the room in order to avoid damage and to prevent its being covered with dust; also to provide ease of moving various equipment in and out of the apartment. Floors in entryway and living room and kitchen fully protected with two layers of special paper. The place was left spotlessly broom clean every day. The working staff is beyond professional and are very nice NICE people. Zee Akber, the head of contracting, could not be a more honorable person.
Everyone I came in contact with was knowledgeable, dependable, responsive. The work is being accomplished within 13 -- 15 working days.
The upshot is a kitchen that looks brand new, even though the work constituted only a partial redo.
Spoke to Zee on the phone - he sent a carpenter to my place to look at the work.
At this meeting, we very clearly defined the work with the carpenter.
Verified price with Zee of $250 per day, expecting 2 days.
They come and do half the work - And they ask for full payment.
I ask them to complete the job before I pay. Was told that would be a separate job with new costs.
After this discussion goes on for a few days, I file complaint with Better Business Bureau - they then agree to finish the work.
So they come and do the job - but leave clamps on a cabinet and my fridge in the middle of the kitchen. I can deal with that for 1-2 days. But then, they make appointment to come and finish... but never come. This happens 3 times! Finally, they finish the job.
This company lied to me several times and did not show up for appointments.
I would recommend to avoid this company if possible. I've owned my unit here for 8 years and never had so much aggravation for a small job.
My experience with Zee was truly positive. His expertise and knowledge of kitchen design and materials is priceless. Since my kitchen was small with celing beams, I needed to find someone who could visualize the type of kitchen that was imbedded in my mind. I didn't want to just have the old cabinets replaced with new cabinets. I needed to have a functional kitchen in the space allotted. He took my basic idea, ran with it and created a sharp, modern, jaw-dropping kitchen.
When there was damage in delivery, he replaced it immediately.
Looks like this will end up in small claims court I would never purchase another Kraftmaid product, or suugest it to anyone. How can you say " there is nothing we can do about it, contact your "KraftMaid Authorized Dealer". VERY unhappy with customer service from both Manhattan Cabinet and KraftMaid.
"Measurements were accurate. They were clear on plans which was signed and approved by owner. Contractor confirm relocating wall after cabinets were delivered. Even after providing photo with evidence, We offer several solution, including, cutting down the cabinet on site or replacing the cabinet completely.
